I started my car search about a month ago as you were suggested through my credit union and i also saved a half percent on my loan by using you. Before i begin i want it to be known that i was PRE APPROVED at a tier 1 credit rating. I was planning on keeping it around 12K as i am buying a home as well in a few months. So before i even called Automotive Ave i was pre approved i just needed to find a car. Sense the first day i was given Cheryl's number (8/16) I called and left 2 messeges in the morning planning on coming down and seeing cars after work that evening. She didnt call back till about 5:30 that evening and left a voice mail. I attempted to call her back but again i got voice mail and left another message. She again called back but it was later in the evening after closing and was told she was ill and i would have to see Rene around noon on Saturday. I arrived at noon on Saturday and meet with Rene she was very helpful and i test drove most cars there. As the process went on i seemed to deal a lot with Rene. Cheryl was hard to reach and the communication with her was poor as she was difficult to reach and she more or less just closed the loan not really helped me with the car search. After researching and looking at several cars i decided to go with a newer Subaru Legacy that was 6K OVER what i was hoping to spend. On the day i closed the loan the car was not ready but i knew they were fixing the window so that was not a big issue to wait a few days. I was told Tuesday to pick up the car and this is where a lot of problems happen. Rene contacted me and told me that the hood needed to be repainted and the rear seat needed to be repaired as there was a cigarette burn in the fabric. The car would not be ready till Thursday now. I told Cheryl that i needed the car that Thursday as i was going out of town with my family for the long holiday weekend she said it would be ready! I arrived Thursday at 3:00 and the car was NOT ready the painting company did a poor job painting the hood. You could clearly see where they over painted the hood and just left it. Again no one called me before i arrived that day and was told to come back in an hour cause they were going to try and buff it out. I feel someone should have called me before i even arrived, not only did i have to wait an hour for service to try and fix it but i had to make other people wait for me before we could head out to avoid holiday traffic. I waited the hour and came back only to discover that the hood was still not fixed. Cheryl gave me a $100 gift card and let me take the car for the weekend but it was not about the money it was the communication that should have happen BEFORE i arrived. When i arrived back to drop the car off i was given a rental and waited for the hood to be redone. After 3 days i was told to come pick up the car when i arrived to get the car i could tell the hood was fixed correctly but the cigarette burn was STILL not repaired! the service employee had forgot to have it repaired so again i had to wait for him to call and set an appointment. Over all i feel the communication should have been better sense i paid 6K MORE than what i was planning on. Each repair that had to be done i was the one calling to check the status and the work preformed was poor. Even after all the repairs were done no one called to follow up and make sure everything was ok. I at least expecting a manger to call and see how things were. With so many positive review i am not sure why my situation is falling into the 1% or a poor experience. Yes the work was done and problems fixed but the communication was very poor. I know they cant help what other people do to a car but i should not have waited till the day of pick it up to only find out they car still had issues. All of this could have been avoided with a simple call. More
In August the transmission went out on my car resulting in a tow and a rental. I am a home health nurse and could not be without a vehicle. As I left the rental facility I decided to check out Automotive Avenues because it was close. I drove onto the lot went to the office and was introduced to Christian. I told him I do not do car shopping, I have this much cash, can afford this amount monthly, and here is my name, social security number and cell number; we then walked to the back of the lot I pointed out two cars that I would like and would meet my needs. I asked him to let me know if he could make this purchase work and with that I left ans went to work to see my patients scheduled for the day. At approximately 4pm Christian called and explained the purchase he had put together and asked when I could come to the dealership. At that time I was on Havana and 120th so with the traffic and time of day I explained it would take me a while but I would head that direction. He waited on me even though he had family commitments that evening. As soon as I got there he completed his portion and asked me to at least drive the care before I signed the papers. I drove the car around the building then went back inside to finish the paperwork so all could go home, including me. I drove the car home that evening, I had the rental for less than 10 hours. That was my experience of the purchase. But my experience with your company does not end there. My newly purchased car began making a funny noise much like the noise my other car made just before the transmission went out. So, back to Automotive Avenues I headed this is when I met Jerry, I explained the situation to him and honestly i was close to tears that morning, Jerry was calm and had me a rental and on my way within 30 minutes of my arrival. Christian came out to help me transfer all my belongings to the rental so my car could go to the car hospital. Jerry was courteous, kind, friendly and without a lot of conversation explained that I would be taken care of and I had nothing to worry about. I was in a rental about four days and two of those days were the weekend. Jerry had the rental company pick me up and deliver me to the rental. He told me he would let me know what was wrong with me car but remember that I was still under warranty. I was so relieved as I left the lot that day. That was my brief experience with your service department but it does not end there. On Wednesday of this week I picked up my car returned the rental to your company because your company per Jerry would return the car for me, again nothing for me to concern myself with. I picked up my vehicle transferred my stuff and took off to see patients, I reached 138th and Washington and realized I had left my wallet with $300+ cash in the glove compartment of the rental, this is when I met Dennis, who happened to answer the phone. I asked for Jerry, Dennis stated he was on the other line I then told Dennis my problem and explained how panic stricken I was, Dennis told me to hang on he would go see what he could do. In about 5 minutes he returned to the line and told me he had the wallet and would keep it for me until i returned to pick it up. I returned around noon to finally get the wallet and every dollar was there. That is the progression of my experience with your employees however there is one other area that the purchasing of my car led me to another introduction. This employee's name is Beverly I did not meet Beverly until I was back at the dealership with the current issue, but Beverly assisted me with the correction of my mailing address. When purchases are made the physical address is listed first, not a PO Box, and I live on a mountain where the mail is not delivered so I must use a PO Box. This oversight caused me to not get my payment book in a timely manner, and when I realized I had not received this necessary information and I did not even know how to contact the financial institution I again called your company and Beverly went to work. My information was corrected and I was given the number to contact the financial institution. She met all my issues in a calm and effective manner. Not one time did I feel like I was being a bother or no longer a customer. It is rare in my experience that a company takes the approach of working for the customer and making her feel important and significant from purchase through servicing issue to a personal property issue and each set along the way every employee is pleasant, helpful and friendly. I thank you so much for this pleasant experience -- while I do no shop for cars I am less excited about car problems but your company made this whole process not only tolerable but kinda nice. More

I had a general idea of what I was looking for, and Auto Avenues had a great selection of cars for me to test and feel better about what I was looking for. There is so much data online, but nothing compares to getting in the car taking it for a drive. The car I ultimately wanted was not on the lot, and not on the extended list on the website, but the great folks at Automotive Avenues were quick to respond and had the car on the Auto Aves lot within 24 hours for me to drive. The choice was simple, I felt I got a great deal on the price and there was no haggle for any extra's which I really appreciated. It helped that I had already talked to a couple salesmen at Toyota and they had given the pitch for the extras that I would need and we had not even sat down to discuss the details. Duane Talada was very patient and stayed late with me to enable me to test a few more cars. We drove about 50 Miles to get the Auto Aves so I appreciated that he made the most of our time. Simply amazing! I picked up a pristine 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T Track from Automotive Avenues. I called in and was transferred to Tami, who sold the car to its first owner and thus knew everything about the gentleman who owned the vehicle before. Tami assured me the car was absolutely in like-new condition....and she wasn't kidding! I flew in from California to buy the car sight unseen and it was EXACTLY as Tami described it...flawless!
