I appreciate the prompt e-mail responses from Jennifer and her availability by phone to answer questions. She recommended I come in and collaborate with Lilian, her miracle worker, and before the day was done, I had a shiny beautiful new car! It's too good to be true and I keep expecting to wake up from a dream. Even as I was writing this review two days after my purchase, Lilian was calling me to ask how things were going and if I was having any problems with the car. More

The overall experience with my salesman, Benjamin, was fine. He was very nice and easy to work with. But he sold me a product he didn't know very much about. I purchased a used 2012 Ford Fusion. I was fine. He was very nice and easy to work with. But he sold me a product he didn't know very much about. I purchased a used 2012 Ford Fusion. I was told the car had Bluetooth that would allow me to pair my phone but it does not. The dealership says they conduct a safety inspection on their vehicles but the tail lights and the passenger side window didn't work. After taking it to the Ford dealership it turns out the car has been wrecked and several things were wired incorrectly, the tail lights is one example. Both the motor, switch, and wiring have been replaced in the door but the only way to fix the window problem is to replace the entire door. Bottom line with purchasing a used car from Automax is to trust but verify! More
As a member of the United States Military I'm always reluctant to look into dealerships near base. After going into the dealership I was greeted by my sales associate. Overall I was satisfied with reluctant to look into dealerships near base. After going into the dealership I was greeted by my sales associate. Overall I was satisfied with the sale. However; I was a little dissatisfied with the sales team in only one way. Seemed like he wouldn't let me speak or quick to talk over me. If thats all I have to deal with I can take it. He wasn't pushy and was rather kind otherwise. I had searched at other dealerships in the metro and because of my appearance(I have been told I look younger than I am) and requirements for a vehicle they paid me no real "respect" as a buyer. My requirements were full or large sized sedan with good gas mileage. Pretty simply and i wanted a vehicle used under 30K miles and no more than $17,000 out the door. Although I can afford more, I didn't want to. Mr. Kile knew this and worked me right into what I wanted and offered a New Car close to that price only once. Now this experience didn't come without any type of set-backs though. We bought our car June 1, 2013 the day after tornadoes ripped through the area again. The vehicle i bought was slightly dirty and had some pitting that at first was hard to notice. After its first wash at our home (4 days later) the pitting had begun to crack. I called the dealership and got a slight bit of static but more so because there was a certain route they had to go to CY6 (cover their own) to make sure they didn't lose money. In the end we got our windshield fixed and they were very understand of my concerns. I had seen reviews of other people who had problems in their car buying here specifically, however; I wanted to see for myself and highly recommend that you do the same! Mr. Kile is pretty straight forward and from what I can tell most of the staff followed that montra. Seemingly to me in my time around a week long experience everyone that arrived on their lot drove off with 30 day tags, so they must be doing something right. I would recommend anyone who has their mindset on a vehicle and price range make in known right away. Respectfully, Proud Owners of a 2012 Hyundai Sonata GLS. Matt and Kellie More
Lilian was amazing. She called us saying they had the Santa Fe Limited they we were looking for. What's amazing is no other dealer had one or could find one. We had a great experience and will definitely Santa Fe Limited they we were looking for. What's amazing is no other dealer had one or could find one. We had a great experience and will definitely be repeat customers. Also, I'm telling all my friends to go see Lilian. Just ask for her and you will be very happy with the service you will get. Thanks Automax for the great service and painless process! -Michael Smithey More
My wife and I went to the Automax dealership with the intention of just looking at a new vehicle for her to commute in. We were greeted immediately by Tom who was extremely courteous, yet didn't make us intention of just looking at a new vehicle for her to commute in. We were greeted immediately by Tom who was extremely courteous, yet didn't make us feel pressured into anything. Tom showed us a few cars, and let us test drive the one that we were interested in. Danny, the sales manager was very friendly and worked hard to get us the financing option that best fit our needs. I read a few negative reviews about this dealership, and while I feel bad for those who had less than stellar experiences, I must say that for my wife and I, we had 5 star service throughout our entire visit. Tom and Danny were both very knowledgeable, and patient with all of our questions. Normally, I dread car shopping, but this was the best car shopping experience that I have ever had. We left the dealership with exactly what we wanted, and didn't feel like we just got raked over the coals. Thank you Automax, and the fine group of employees that you have working for you. A special thanks to Tom and Danny for going above and beyond to make sure we got what we wanted. More
It was a very pleasant experience to work with Lilian. She was very helpful and always asking what else she could do to help in my purchase. I have been a customer of Hyundai Automax for over a year now and every time I stop by the dealership I feel welcomed. This is my 2nd vehicle I have bought from this dealership. The reason I decided to purchase another one is because of the type of service I received from the moment I walked in the door. I was g dealership. The reason I decided to purchase another one is because of the type of service I received from the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted first by the Sales Manager Rick Humphrey who took the time to find out what I was looking for and immediately had one pulled from the lot so I could see it first hand. Rick touched on points that he knew were important to me and told me about the new features that were offered on this years model. He had me test drive it and gave me the opportunity to try everything out. Rick knew what my price range was and worked hard to help me get the best payments that would work for me. I am very pleased with the service department as well, and will continue to have all my service done there as well. I wouldn't go any where else and recommend everyone I know to ask for Rick when they go in. They won't be sorry. More
BEWARE of Automax Del City & Sales Mgr Rick Humprey!!! Worst car buying experience EVER. I contacted Rick via e-mail for quotes on a new Elantra. He responded with "MY SELL PRICE WITH A SPAR Humprey!!! Worst car buying experience EVER. I contacted Rick via e-mail for quotes on a new Elantra. He responded with "MY SELL PRICE WITH A SPARE TIRE INCLUDED IS $XX+ 299 PROCESSING = $XX AND YOU CAN DEDUCT REBATES". It wasn't the best deal I had received but not far off so I replied with a counter offer. He sent me a link to another Elantra in his inventory he said he would sell for $X. It was a good price so I called him & he then told me it was a loaner vehicle that was barely used because they received some new Sonatas for loaners. It only had 50 miles so I told him I was on my way. I packed up my car w/ my wife & newborn baby & we drove the 2.5 hr drive to OKC. Just before we arrived he messaged me & said the car had been loaned out. I told him we were almost there & we could start the paperwork anyways. After we arrived & asked for Rick he made us wait 40 minutes before he even acknowledged us. He then turned on the charm & told me about how he's a USAA dealer & how he supports the military. He said the car would be back on Monday and when I told him we lived 2.5 hrs away he agreed to hold it until Friday when I could pick it up. He even printed out a purchase agreement with the price, so I thought we had a deal. He then told me he'd call on Monday. WELL, this is where it gets terrible. Monday comes & goes w/ no phone call. I email him & ask if it was returned safely, he responds w/ "the customer gets off at 5, I"ll call you when it gets here". Well Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday go by w/ no phone call or response to multiple e-mails. When I call & ask for Rick on Friday & tell the operator my name she says he's busy & will call me back. 3 hrs later & no response I call back & she says he's busy so I say I'll hold. He then picks right up & starts to give me the run around about how he just found out he can't sell the vehicle for 90 days & it has to have at least 5K miles before they can sell it? I start to get a bad feeling about this but I need a vehicle so I tell him I'll just purchase the new Elantra (that he quoted me above). He then quotes me a price $1,500 ABOVE the original price! Stunned, I tell him that's not what he quoted & I can e-mail him the quote. He then acts like he can't find the e-mail he sent and asked me to send it to him & he'd call me right back. 30 min later & still no response I call & again get told he's busy & will call me back & when I say I'll hold for him she wouldn't let me! I finally get a e-mail back from Rick who then says his original quote included rebates and he couldn't sell me the car for that (even though his email clearly says I can deduct rebates). I called him to ask why he's changing the price & his response was that it was my mistake and I misunderstood his e-mail (even though we had talked about it in person the Friday prior!) He then said that no other dealer could sell at that price. When I told him I had another quote for that in Texas he said he hears that all the time but no one ever proves it. WELL, just so every one on here knows, I purchases an Elantra this weekend for that price & it included $500 in extra options that Del City didn't have! If you're willing to travel, Mike Brown Hyundai just outside of Fort Worth has the best prices with the service to boot. The sales mgr Ty Vickers was straight up & didn't play any games. He held the car for me and it was pristine when I arrived. The paperwork was just as we had agreed w/ no add ons or surprise fees. The sales rep Mike Stephens even spent 30 mins after the sale showing us all the cool features of our new ride. MUCH appreciated! Bottom Line: Avoid Del City Hyundai at ALL costs, the Sales Mgr is shady, disrespectful, and sly. Don't waste your time or fall into their sleezy sales traps. If you want a straightforward, first class car buying experience go to Mike Brown Hyundai & enjoy a weekend away in Dallas. Worst case go to Bob Howard in OKC, can't be any worse than Automax!
