Autofair Ford of Haverhill

An aweful experience! We went to Autofair in Haverhill for a used vehicle my daughter saw. Though we bought the vehicle she wanted we should have walked away several times We went to Autofair in Haverhill for a used vehicle my daughter saw. Though we bought the vehicle she wanted we should have walked away several times. This was the worse experience I could have imagined and would not recommend them. Initial sales guy was flat out liar always saying how he need the sale, how he could reduce the price by thousands, how they put new pads and rotors on used vehicles with 26k on them (which I knew wouldn't be true and on which manager later agreed with me). They all continually claim how the Autofair used vehicle check was 128 points almost twice as much as all other dealers. They all continually tell you how Time magazine rated them best car dealer. Continually tell you how they are so big they will get us best financing even when we mentioned local credit union rate. The building is old with worn out carpet and chipped walls and for some reason play loud music in the showroom. Nothing like trying making a big purchase to AC/DC. Financing gets done away from you so you can't see what bank or options there might be. And it is a very slow process. Sales manager tried to get us some reduction on price since he knew we were not having a good experience but the big boys at the counter said price could not be reduced even by $100 since the price was not accurate and they made a mistake even though I had a listing of same vehicle and miles with same price from 5 other dealers. But when the finance guy did his paperwork in his own office told us he got a great rate since we thought it would be better than the 1.99% we knew we could get he told us he got us 2.49%. So upon questioning that he felt 2.49 % was still a great rate and that we shouldn't worry about the extra interest. So sales team doesn't want to give us a break for a $100 but finance guy had no issue with us paying an extra $100. We let this go thru and next day cancelled the financing and got the lower rate from credit union in Haverhill who they don't deal with for some reason even though they deal with over 30 banks. So after we had the vehicle we had to get 2 small scratches repaired and check the charger port as it wasn't working despite the 128 things they check. We let my daughter bring it there. Took them 1 1/2 hrs to fix an inch long scratch and they only did one of them. Then when she asked service guy about the charger he told her come back next week. He didn't want to help an 18 year old who just bought a car from them? I knew the book showed fuse box in engine area and what fuse it was so I looked and fuse was blown. My daughter went and bought a fuse and put it in herself. She has never opened the hood of a car but I showed her the slot the day before. So she fixed that herself. So service people didn't even want to try and take a look at the obvious fault. The only good thing about this ordeal was my daughter learned a few things about car salesman, finance people, and service people and how to replace a fuse. She probably knows to walk away even if a dealer has the car you want. More

My complaint comes just a few days after getting the car home. The car we had purchased had been sold to us with two blown rear speakers. We politely let them know of the situation and was told we would get a call back after he spoke to the sales manager. Still waiting for that call! More

sold me a certified pre owned lemon I bought a 2013 f-150 that was certified pre owned and after 2 weeks started hearing a slight screech coming from the front end and brought it back fo I bought a 2013 f-150 that was certified pre owned and after 2 weeks started hearing a slight screech coming from the front end and brought it back for service.
