I GOT A GREAT DEAL AND THE THE SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC. HARD TO BELIEVE YOU CAN HAVE A GREAT EXPERIENCE BUYING A CAR FROM A USED CAR DEALER. IT IS TRUE. IN FACT THEY SENT ME A REFUND CHECK WHICH I DIDN'T HARD TO BELIEVE YOU CAN HAVE A GREAT EXPERIENCE BUYING A CAR FROM A USED CAR DEALER. IT IS TRUE. IN FACT THEY SENT ME A REFUND CHECK WHICH I DIDN'T FEEL THEY OWED ME AND I TRIED TO GIVE IT BACK TO THEM AND THEY WOULD NOT TAKE IT. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!! I KNOW YOU WILL NOT BELEIVE THIS BUT IT IS TRUE AND I OWE THIS REVIEW TO THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE SO GOOD TO ME. Small dealership BIG disappointment!! I was in the way Small dealership BIG disappointment!! I was in the way of purchasing a 2nd car for the baby sitter and any of our kids transportation needs for whe Small dealership BIG disappointment!! I was in the way of purchasing a 2nd car for the baby sitter and any of our kids transportation needs for when we are not at home, I went into cars.com and found a car that fit the needs of what we were looking for even though the price was in the higher end. So after calling I did feel like there was no wiggle room in negotiating and the owner RON was rude, yet the sales guy was nicer and asked me to come down and look at the car. On December 20th 2011, we went to see the car and once we were there we were told that the car wasn’t fully ready but that if we liked it they will get it ready, the battery needed to be replaced, the car needed alignment and the automatic doors were not working correctly, they would just not open. Other than that and keeping in mind that the sales person said that they knew that needed to be done and they would fix it, the engine was in good condition and I said ok, I did feel like the place doesn’t even look like a dealership, it looks more like a car repair place and that worried me, but the guy said lets check your credit and do the contract and you can pick the car up when ready, very unconventional for me being the 4th car I buy and I have always bought from big dealers and having the car waiting for me freshly wash with a full tank is what I used to have, but oh well, the sales guy checked my credit online and said we would sign a contract, before he would even print it, the owner Ron, called to check on the sale and after the sales guy said we were buying he wanted to talk to me to say thank you and to let me know that he would go ahead and give me a little discount for coming down, etc., and so that I would take the car THAT DAY, I was like uhm well I would but the car isn’t ready because it needs the battery, alignment and the doors fixed…the owner blew up the phone he was furious and said that the condition of the car was AS IS and if I wanted any of that fix then he needed to look into how much those repairs would cost and that he wouldn’t give the discount anymore and that he would probably even raise the price of the car!!! I was in shock, I got up and thanked the sales guy and said I only regret that I let you check my credit because know my score will drop. The next morning on December the 21st. I called the dealer and texted the sales and talked to the owner to let him know that I wasn’t interested on doing business with them anymore period and to please not proceed with anything, that I was glad I didn’t sign a contract etc. and to not send my info for credit approval because I wasn’t buying, they said they wouldn’t because there wasn’t even a contract in the first place. Well today I got a letter from Wells Fargo bank dated as of January 1st 2012 saying that the auto loan that I had requested from a-lux auto was denied!!! What??? I am flabbergasted, I called Ron and he not just claimed to not remembered me but said that first of all, I was calling him on his cell and he didn’t have time, that he could give me a number to and that he couldn’t help me, I told him if he could have someone call me and he said no, nobody will call you and I don’t have time!!! OMG I am now afraid they were trying to commit fraud with my info, I will be contacting Experian ASAP in the AM. Stay away from this place!!! More

I live in Virginia and my daughter is in college in California. She needed a car so I looked through 100s of listings on Autotrader. The car with the best value was listed at A-Lux Auto Never having attempted to make such a large purchase without being present, I was definately concerned, as was my daughter who was splitting the cost. However, my concerns were put aside as I dealt with the caring people at A-Lux Auto. They were consistently pleasant and laid-back as they patiently answered all my questions, worked out solutions to my particular needs, and helped my daughter feel comfortable with her first major purchase. In fact, my daughter, who is majoring in Women and Gender Studies, emphasized how refreshing and unexpected it was to be treated so respectfully. This is the first review that I have ever written on-line but I wanted to help out anyone who needs to get a car in these tough economic times. More
