I was shopping for a new Jeep Wrangler. I have seen major discounts from the Spartanburg Jeep across the state line. I went to a much larger store down there and was impressed by the size and selection of the store. The people all seemed very nice, until they wouldn't honor the price they had on the internet. I was told that I had to turn in a leased car, which I don't have and was supposed to have retired from the military. This was not in the internet price or description. I felt embarrassed and the salesperson was uneasy about the transaction also. I went to my local dealer and met the General Manager, Rhett Blanchard. He listedened to my concerns and helped me find a Jeep that I wanted at a price I could live with. Mark Young was my sales person who really helped my paperwork and financing. Bottom line, if the prices seem too good to be true on the internet, they probably are. I am going to tell everyone I can about the sales tactics of Spartanburg Jeep. More
My fiance and I purchased a 2011 Lexus IS 250 from Hendersonville Chrysler Jeep Dodge used lot on 10/12/2013. When we first test drove the car, Mike kept changing the conversation when we asked about Hendersonville Chrysler Jeep Dodge used lot on 10/12/2013. When we first test drove the car, Mike kept changing the conversation when we asked about the carfax. I asked him where the car was from and he said that it was from Florida, that a friend of his owned a car lot down there and he had brought the car here to fill up his lot. When asked what was on the carfax, his response was "a bunch of ink haha." The entire time Mike used excessive profanity and at one point even discussed that his brother used vin plates to do all kinds of shady things. He let us take the car for nearly 5 days on a dealer plate with no payment, which we thought was strange considering this was a $30,000 car. We took a check to him on the 12th and received our 30 day temp plate. It was getting close to the expiration date on the tag and we still hadn't received our permanent plate. so I decided to give the dealership a call to make sure that they sent the tag to the correct address. The lady with title work called me back 2 days later and informed me that they had still not received the title from the previous owner. Apparently they took the car in on trade without getting the title. The lady told me that they had contacted the previous owner numerous times to give her a reminder about the title. I asked the lady what I should do when my tag expired and she said that they would give me another dealer plate to run on the car until they can figure out the situation with the title. I decided to call the DMV to see what I should do and in the state of North Carolina it is a legal to sell a car without having the title especially from a dealership. I then contacted the Credit Union where the car was financed. The loan officer told me to return the car and get my check back for the vehicle. When we addressed the dealership with this issue it immediately became a fight. I then decided to run my own carfax and I was totally shocked. The car was not from Florida, it was from Kentucky and it had been involved in an accident that resulted in the entire back and half of the passenger side being replaced less than a month before we bought it. My fiance called Jason (supposedly some type of manager) at the dealership and demanded that they give us a check made payable to the Credit Union when we returned the car. Jason told my fiance that he was not going to give him a check to go buy his crack with. He completely disrespected and degraded my fiance by addressing him as some "drug addict." After 2 full days of a constant battle between us, the bank and the dealership, they finally cut us a check to pay the car off. When we returned it we dealt with Rhett Blanchard, the General Manager. He was completely rude and disrespectful to us. I would never refer my worst enemy to this place. We have filed a complaint with the BBB and the License and Theft Bureau so it is in their hands from here. More
