Communication of the dealership is great until you buy the car. We just purchased a used vehicle and had it checked out by our mechanic. Supposedly the vehicle had been checked by AutoNation and had an oi the car. We just purchased a used vehicle and had it checked out by our mechanic. Supposedly the vehicle had been checked by AutoNation and had an oil change and other basic maintenance. It was also supposed to have the paint touched up and never did. Our mechanic found the car almost 2 quarts short of oil and what oil was in there was very thick and black. Filters were not changed either. AutoNation claimed they “documented” the oil change and tried to accuse my mechanic of trying to get a sale. They offered for me to come back, but I do not trust any inspection from this dealership. I asked a manager to call me to discuss everything and never received a call back. I guess because we purchased a reasonable used car and didn’t make a big enough sale for them, I’m not enough of a priority. Thank God I had it checked out because my 17-year-old son is driving this vehicle and could have been at risk. Beware of their inspections of vehicles, especially if you’re buying a reasonably priced used car. Also, we were originally given a price of the car with incorrect taxes and ended up with an additional $800 surprise on the total! More
