I was quoted a 12k trade in value after being completely transparent on the website where you tell them issues with the car. Upon arriving i was offered 5k for a 7k difference in trade in value. SCAM. I found the perfect used vehicle for me at the right price at Autonation in Katy. We live in Louisiana and my parents were passing through Katy, TX I found the perfect used vehicle for me at the right price at Autonation in Katy. We live in Louisiana and my parents were passing through Katy, TX heading home from a trip. My dad asked the manager what needed to be done to lock this vehicle down for me. He said we needed to pay in full. So we wrote a personal check for the full amount right then and there AND signed all the paperwork (title and everything). The dealership stated they needed to do some warranty work on the vehicle as it was a recently acquired used car and that it would be ready for pickup in a week. A week later, we called to see if it was ready. IT HAD BEEN SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!!!! We discovered that a few days after we paid for it in full, signed all the documents AND they had input all of the info into their computer (bc I started getting their emails), they had sold it out from under us to someone else who also paid for it AND DROVE AWAY IN IT. GONE. My ideal vehicle GONE and I still owned it!!!! We had to get the police and DMV involved. NO RESPONSIBILITY TAKEN BY THE DEALERSHIP OR CORPORATE OFFICES!! We never had anyone call and say "we screwed up." We had to hire a lawyer just to get them to reimburse us the money. Never heard a word from corporate offices. Nothing. Autonation is why car dealers get a bad rap. THEY DO NOT DEAL IN GOOD FAITH! 100000% would never recommend to even my worst enemy. The only reason they got 1 star is because they did give us the money back (almost a month later). Autonation, do better. More

I purchased a vehicle on September 21, 2024. Marianna, my salesperson, tried her best to rectify my concerns, so she wasn't the problem. At the time of purchase, I was only allowed to test drive the vehicle within the parking lot, as it had not yet undergone inspection. Despite this limitation, I was assured that several necessary repairs would be completed, including * a cracked windshield replacement. * Tinting of the windows to resolve the bubbling tint issue. * Completion of the supposed inspection. I was assured the repairs would be finalized by Tuesday, September 24, 2024. When I picked up the vehicle on Thursday, September 26, 2024, the windshield had not been replaced, and after driving the vehicle from September 26th to October 30th, I noticed a persistent noise coming from the dashboard. Given that I was within the five-day/250-mile warranty period, I returned the vehicle on Monday, October 30th, 2024. The salesperson I worked with was very accommodating and assured me that all necessary repairs would be made, including the windshield replacement and dashboard noise. I picked up the vehicle on Friday, October 4, 2024, assuming the issues had been resolved. Unfortunately, while the windshield was replaced, the noise in the dashboard was still present when I drove the car off the lot. I made a U-turn and returned the vehicle. This is unacceptable and poor business practices. I've been lied to and inconvenienced for three weeks by this dealership, and I will return this vehicle and inform corporate for a resolution. Be careful when purchasing vehicles from this dealership. More
