I came in with a pre-approved loan at 1.95% for 72 months through Randolph Brooks FCU. This was not accepted by your Finance due to RBFCU’s payment method. Every other dealership I’ve been to has accepted RB through Randolph Brooks FCU. This was not accepted by your Finance due to RBFCU’s payment method. Every other dealership I’ve been to has accepted RBFCU’s payment without hesitation. But because of that, I had to have addt’l credit checks shotgunned out to find the lowest rate possible on a 72 month term, which wound up being 3.9%...and I have a credit score in excess of 800!!! 😡 I also intended to write a check for a large portion of my down payment, in addt’n to the $11k in cash that I brought in. A personal check also was not accepted by your Finance. Fortunately, after a 30 min. wait to hear back from the GM, your Finance was given approval to accept the majority of my down payment via credit card vs. personal check...and I still gave $11k in cash. My “opinion” is that despite your beautiful dealership, you have become too big and in doing so, have lost any semblance of concern for the individual. The experience was pretty bad. We were pretty confident for a time that despite our total capacity to purchase your vehicle, due SOLELY to your business’s rules, we were going to leave there without it. My wife and I felt like just another number being shuffled through the gates. We were there for FAR longer than anyone should be who had EVERYTHING lined up the way I did prior to even entering your dealership. I have bought so many cars over the years and have never had such difficulty paying for them as I did through Auto Nation Houston.
