AOn February 23, 2026, my wife’s 2022 Toyota Venza was brought in for a routine oil change at AutoNation Toyota of Tempe approximately 38,377 miles at the time. About three hours later, when dealership st brought in for a routine oil change at AutoNation Toyota of Tempe approximately 38,377 miles at the time. About three hours later, when dealership staff brought the vehicle forward and stated that the service had been completed, loud metal-on-metal scraping and screeching noises were immediately heard coming from the engine. My wife did not take possession of the vehicle or leave the premises. The vehicle remained under the dealership’s control for more than three weeks while we awaited written confirmation of coverage to protect against any future engine failure attributable to this event. Unfortunately, none of the initial assurances of protection have materialized. The prolonged lack of feedback reflected a clear disregard for the customer’s time, inconvenience, and legitimate concerns. Meaningful updates were not provided for weeks, leaving us without clarity or confidence in the handling of the matter. More

I don't understand why anyone makes an appointment time, if the service department takes any and all walk ins before the appointment. If I have an appointment time, my car should be taken care of as close t if the service department takes any and all walk ins before the appointment. If I have an appointment time, my car should be taken care of as close to that time as possible. My last service, I had a time of 10am and my car wasn't done for 5.5 hrs. It was a simple oil change and I was waiting inside. More
