Checked in a little after 8:00 am, checked out a little after 9:00 am. That's one hour, for a job that takes way less. It seems they overbook a little too much. This visit included a multi-point inspection, but shortly after I left, one of my tires was low on pressure, and I found (when my butt started to freeze) that my AC was reset to the lowest temperature setting. This has actually been one of the better visits; my car is still under the Toyota complimentary maintenance. The service advisor was nice enough, but I think the company needs to do a better job of quality control, which seems nonexistent. More

One thing that's annoying and this happens no matter the service representative, once the service work is done the paperwork just sits while you sit in the waiting room. Deceptive Trade Practices at AutoNation South Toyota! !! We took our Army Green 4Runner TRDPro in for typical oil change. The service department installed the oil filter improperly and all the oil leaked !! We took our Army Green 4Runner TRDPro in for typical oil change. The service department installed the oil filter improperly and all the oil leaked out ruining the engine. They preformed another oil change telling us “Toyotas are made to run with little oil, it’ll be fine”. 2 more check engine light warnings and 2 oil changes later and a complimentary detail for our troubles, the check engine light continued to show up. At this point when we took the 4Runner back in to service, Keith told us there was “grey area” and uncertain if it would be covered by our extended warranty we purchased. What!!! Next we were told the parts needed for the repair are back ordered indefinitely. Hoping they would be available by December, but no promises. This is now 2 days before we are to drive our daughter to CO for college move in. After many attempts to get a loaner/rental/ demo, anything to fill the gap until her 4Runner could be repaired. Keith Hennessy told us they was nothing they could do to help us. We were on our own to figure it out. The only option presented was to wait until December or trade in on the only NEW 4Runner they had available, extending our payoff and increasing our monthly payment! Also telling us, we’ll if you don’t like the color you can get it wrapped. That’s only $6k! And the street tires we can replace for $1500. We need all terrain tires for snow and ice. There was no mats, the AC wasn’t working and the seat AC didn’t work! The finance department FedExes the paperwork to my husband late, he was traveling for work. So we never received the paperwork for the trade in/ purchase. At this point, we had left to drive my daughter to CO. We had time to process what had just happened and with advice from our banker, rejected the silver& chrome limited. I spent 4 extra days in CO at Mountain States Toyota. We found a used 4Runner at there at a much better price with A/T on it. So we bought this for her to drive. Now, I am back in Austin. Met the transport company, paid them $850 to trailer the Silver 4Runner Limited back to AutoNation South Austin. When I met Daniel/Victor in finance to turn the New 4Runner over, I was told all was set and nothing else about our original Army Green TRDPro! I ask and was told, “well you have to go take that up with service “! So, here I go, on like day 7 of dealing with this, our 4Runner was repaired and they were about to put it out on the used car lot to sell it! They didn’t even have the paperwork signing it over! They were going to sell it without our permission! And Keith lied to my face about the parts, gave me 3 different excuses! He could not even keep his lie straight! Totally spoke down to me like I didn’t know what was going on and this stuff just happens! Miraculously the parts just appeared/they traded another dealership for them/ they paid 20% more than normal/ and he then told me well at least there is no charge to you! What!! They totally ruined our engine and we are lucky we don’t have to pay to have it repaired!?!?! And they lost one of our key fobs! Absolutely ridiculous! During this whole process, I have been passed through 4 service advisor, Keith Hennessy the service manager, 2 finance advisors and a young woman that I’m sure they sent to do damage control. I have waited in the dealership for countless hours and the back and forth of me trying to get out of this absurd situation! This has been going on since 7/24/2022. Today is 8/26/2022. I still have no idea what is going on with the financial part of our 4Runner TRDPro as they wiped the title. They already had it titles to AutoNation without my husbands signature on ANY of the documents! This is absolutely insane! Do not trust this dealership! Super shady business practices!!!!!
