I took my car to the AutoNation service department to have them figure out why four of my indicator lights remained on. I was not having any problem driving the car. I was concerned with what could be malfunctioning services my car has. Tony Do was my Service Advisor. He told me there would be a process involved in determining the source of the problem. He opined that there could be damage from chewed up wires. He asked me if there are a lot of squirrels where I live. Upon telling him yes he informed me that there would be a process in seeing if this was the case. It was. Tony said my car would need to be left overnight and worked on throughout the next day as the electrical system needed to be checked. He told me 3 p.m. would be the time my car would be ready ... it was ready an hour sooner. He quoted me a price for the repair ... it was $100 less. The work was done on time and it was done with care and professionalism. Tony Do is a credit to AutoNation's service department due to his thoroughness and attention to detail. More
I do not recommend this dealership for service for the following reasons: 1) No courtsey shuttle. I had a 7 hour warranty repair. The work was at no cost, but the Uber ride to and from the dealership cos following reasons: 1) No courtsey shuttle. I had a 7 hour warranty repair. The work was at no cost, but the Uber ride to and from the dealership cost me over $50 2) Untrustworthy. My windshield had a flaw at purchase and needed to be replaced. At checkout, the service advisor provided specific and direct instructions not to use a car wash for at least a week because it could cause damage - the new windshield may not seat and seal properly. After completing the paperwork I was sent outside to wait for the car to be brought up. I waited for over 10 minutes and when the car arrived it was dipping wet - after just being washed. I informed the service advisor the car had been put through a car wash. The service advisor looked at me and said, "It will be fine, it's OK." I reminded him that he told me it could cause an issue with the new windshield it it were washed. The service advisor said, "It's fine. I said that yes, but it is really OK." Then the service advisor looked at me and said, "Anyway, what are you going to do, it's just human error and that happens all the time." As I indicated before, this service department is not trustworthy. 3) Not customer focused. In addition to the car wash issue, I waited for over 10 minutes for the car to be brought up. When I told the service advisor. He told me, "It hasn't been that long." It had been that long because I looked at my watch several time while waiting. I will not take my car to this dealership's service department again. Fool me once........... More
They really worked to make it work and made the process as quick as possible. I was appreciate especially given a winter storm was approaching! I bought my 2008 Camry from AutoNation Toyota South Austin in 2008. Even though I live in far North Austin, I have brought my car here for routine maintenance and incidental other maintenance. My Service Rep, Epi Rodriguez, has been my go to person. I trust him and I believe he has always been straight with me. My latest appt was for inspection to get my inspection sticker and some other items. Since my car was not going to be ready for a couple of days, Epi talked with Keith Hennessy about getting me a loaner. Keith put me into a 2021 Camry SE. He went over the features and I was very impressed with him. I will probably get a new Camry next year. I will definitely go back to AutoNation South Austin, contact Barry Isbell (he was awesome and worked with me to get my 2008 Camry) and see what I can get. All of my experiences with this dealership have been very positive, from purchase to maintenance! More
