I purchased 2021 Tacoma SR5 from Autonation Toyota 9/8/21. As usual during the signing process the finance guy went over additional packages which I politely declined. I clearly told I dont keep vehic 9/8/21. As usual during the signing process the finance guy went over additional packages which I politely declined. I clearly told I dont keep vehicles over a year and I dont need any packages but he insisted getting the GAP and windshield protection and said he would give me a good deal on that. He specifically mentioned that I could cancel them anytime I want and get full refund. Out of respect to him I didn't wanted to decline back to back and said ok that's fine. I totally understand that these guys make their commissions through these products and if I can cancel them then why not help them out as well; so I went with it. As expected I sold the vehicle within 3 months with 320 miles on odometer when sold. Came back to the dealership for canceling the windshield & GAP package. They deducted over $100 bucks on GAP money (which they initially told I would get full refund). And the 2nd disappointment was they said the Windshield protection is non-refundable and showed me a fine print clause. I asked them that's not what they told me and I requested copy of the video since there's camera in the room. They said they don't have a video of it. I am very upset that initially I didn't wanted to buy and these guys tried to sell me. Then I thought to get it thinking they would earn their commissions and I could cancel them later. Now they talk about the FINE PRINTS when the cancellation is requested. Any help is appreciated. A check on these practices is needed. More

And Ali in finance also was outstanding in delivering the best and easiest “finance presentation” and signed the needdd documts and got me back on my way to San Antonio very promptly. And last, thanks yo the technical team the truck was ready as agreed with all the gadget installed as promised. Thank you Toyota Auto Nation !! More

I waited 3.5 hrs in the lobby with no follow-up, there should be follow-up after diagnosis and then halfway into it. Come to find out, they never started on my car after having an appt at 7a. I was put in a rental car as new tires were needed that had to be ordered and breaks needed replaced. This was on a Monday. Guess I wasn't top priority due to the weekend cleanup. There is ALOT of opportunity for improvement at this dealership. I don't know if more Service Advisors need hired or what. More
As dealerships go, AutoNation Toyota South Austin has been excellent to me. Their service managers do a great job of communicating with me about my vehicle. While their prices are what I would call "deal been excellent to me. Their service managers do a great job of communicating with me about my vehicle. While their prices are what I would call "dealership prices"--much higher than most independent mechanics--they are on the moderate end of dealerships. (I know that a dealership for a different automaker just down the road has hourly rates that are 15-20% higher than AutoNation Toyota's.) My usual service manager Jared is a pleasure to work with, and he does his best to keep my budget in mind when recommending "necessary" vs "nice to have" or "you could do this yourself easily" repairs. More
