Came for already scheduled appointment and waited about 45 minutes before I was helped. Same thing when I came to pick up my car. Cashier was on lunch break and I was never informed ahead of time to avoid 45 minutes before I was helped. Same thing when I came to pick up my car. Cashier was on lunch break and I was never informed ahead of time to avoid picking up my car at that time. Had to find my service associate and that took lots of love of looking and paging and waiting. On the positive side, they did not do services I did not need. More

The service and staff were awesome. I took my Carolla in for an alignment and waited for the work to be done. It was finished as Epi said it would be. The price was fair. Have purchased several times in the past from this dealership; this latest time was the most stressful. The online sales representative was probably the worst aspect of the experience. He first told m dealership; this latest time was the most stressful. The online sales representative was probably the worst aspect of the experience. He first told me they wait until the car hits the coast before notifying owners of car impending arrival. The car I purchased is made in Kentucky, the only “coast” it hits is the arrival at Gulf Coast Toyota. I would inquire about details of the car and the process. Inquiring if they could deliver to me, potential add-ons I was interested in getting, and if the traits I was looking for were avail at another dealer could they work with that dealer to get it to this dealership. He avoided most of my questions, he told me no on working with other dealerships (didn’t even try reaching out to any of the other dealers), would only talk about locking lug nuts and scratch resistant patches, and said no about the delivery. I was clear that I lived outside (>150 miles) of Austin and they said they would give a weeks notice about the arrival of the car and have 48 hours to pick up the car after its arrival. After 48 hours they would resell the car despite the deposit I put down for the car. He gave me 12 hours notice on a Friday afternoon. (Running around insurance and bank on a Friday afternoon added stress considering I have 48 hours to keep in mind while taking off from work to make it happen). I don’t hear from the sales rep throughout Saturday. I call him. He never called when he said he would. I always had to track him for a status update. Saturday afternoon I learn the delivery truck hadn’t arrived and would likely not arrive until Sunday, my sales rep was leaving early on Saturday and would not be around on Monday as he would have to deliver a car to a customer in Dallas (recall he said no to my delivery). I call Sunday evening to learn the delivery truck arrived shortly after my sales rep departed for the day. They indicated all the PDI folks had left for the day and it would be best I pick up the car on Monday. I didn’t hear from my sales rep, so I call on Monday to learn from a different sales person that my car had not arrived. I finally got ahold if the sales manager who said my car did arrive on Saturday evening and was ready to be picked up. Let me clarify, I completely understand not knowing EXACTLY when the delivery truck would arrive. I did not appreciate being given the runaround by several people and having to take 1.5 days off from work to make this purchase happen. I also did not appreciate the attitude from my sales rep that indicated zero understanding of having to take off of work to make this happen. The saving grace from the whole experience was working with their Finance person. He was upfront in everything, answered all of my questions honestly, was personable, and talked to me like an equal. He never spoke down to me. He was very accommodating. Honestly felt like he was the only person I dealt with who wasn’t an idiot in the process. More
I was in for service. Quick in/out, very accommodating, I asked them to look at something extra and they were happy to do so even though it wasn’t part of the service. I’ve had 2 interactions with Autonation Toyota in S. Austin. First was buying and 2nd was a service appointment. Neither was exceptionally good or bad. In June/July 2022, hybrid vehicles are scarce and RAV4’s are more scarce. However, the sales rep found one in Houston. It was way overpriced, but I needed a car. Purchasing process was excruciatingly slow. Car buying is still a ugly process and exacerbated by a host of political and socioeconomic issues. The service appointment made me feel better about the AN dealership. Maybe I got lucky and got a service person who is genuinely interested in providing a quality service experience. I’ll go back to this dealership for future service requirements. Would I buy a car from AN Toyota, only if there’s no other option. More
Always friendly and helpful service, was in and out in 35 mins. I have used them for three car purchases over the years with regular and extended maintenance and never have an issue. mins.
