I just had a 85000 mile maintenance service last week. Everything is good except that the alert "Maintenance required soon" is still displayed on screen every time when I stat the car. My wife brought our 2020 Camry for service on November 28, 2023. We received service coupons via email for a free wiper blade and $25 discount for wheel alignment. However, the service writer stated that since my wife didn’t mention the coupons, she didn’t receive the discounts. After reviewing the service bill, I called the service writer and he stated the service bill was “closed” and there is no discount price or price accommodation. I am disappointed with the service department practice that the customer has to tell the service writer that she received coupons via email in order to receive the discounts. The policy should be changed so the service writer automatically tells the customer about the discount coupon. I have purchased two vehicles from AutoNation and have had them serviced at AutoNation. However, after the service experience I am questioning whether I should purchase a new vehicle from AutoNation. It appears that an elderly woman customer was taken advantage of by trusting emails from AutoNation. More
