From the purchase to 7+ years of service, I can easily recommend AutoNation in Libertyville to anyone interested in purchasing a car. I always heard that dealerships price gouge for work, but I don't thin recommend AutoNation in Libertyville to anyone interested in purchasing a car. I always heard that dealerships price gouge for work, but I don't think that's accurate anymore. I've had exemplary service for very fair prices. More

I worked with someone named Davie in January to put down a refundable deposit to be on a waitlist for a car. He was great, but a few weeks later I tried calling/emailing him with some questions and got no r a refundable deposit to be on a waitlist for a car. He was great, but a few weeks later I tried calling/emailing him with some questions and got no response. I had a new sales person (Edgar) reach out to me asking me how he can help, and was confused because Davie was supposed to be my sales person. I ended up calling the dealer to get some answers and they informed me that Davie no longer worked there. No one communicated that to me, but realized this is why Edgar had reached out. That's fine, but that should've been made clear in the initial communication. Well, turns out we ended up purchasing the car from another dealership and I asked Edgar for my deposit to be refunded. Almost 10 days went by and I heard nothing, wasn't sent any proof of the refund, and hadn't seen anything come to my bank. I emailed, called, left many voicemails to Edgar, his sales manager Sam H, and tried contacting the finance department. No one has responded to my voicemails in about a week. It's frustrating. I understand that because I went with another dealer, that I am no longer a priority to Libertyville but I would expect excellent service until the very end. I still have not been able to get directly in touch with Edgar after a week, only received a verbal confirmation from someone else at the sales desk that he apparently sent my request to the finance office and they processed my refund and should expect it within 10-14 business days (last week someone told me it would take 3-5, lol). I'm overall just very disappointed in this entire process. Libertyville Toyota would've been a prospect in the future that we would consider purchasing from since we are a Toyota family, but looks like I will no longer be bringing my business there after this experience. I was completely treated like garbage once I asked for my deposit back. Dealers should respect that customers shop around at various places, and should honor our requests and not treat us like we're invisible, whether we decide to do business with them or not. I really hope other customers don't get treated like this, and want to put this out there as a warning. More
