Two weeks ago 9/6 I started out for work in Libertyville from Schiller Park, Il. I left early because I was sure I was not going to make it. I stopped 5 times to let the motor cool down and the 5th time w from Schiller Park, Il. I left early because I was sure I was not going to make it. I stopped 5 times to let the motor cool down and the 5th time was in the Walgreen's parking lot approximately two blocks from the this dealership. Left the parking lot and the red warning light came on right away so I pulled into the first place I felt would be able to help me. At first I shut the motor off and looked around. I was driving a '04 Chevie Malibu with approx. 186,000 miles +. I looked over to the left and saw cars going into the service dept. overhead doors. I again started the car up and pulled across from the doors and went in. I didn't know where I was going but it seems like God was steering me that morning. I waited for the young man, later finding out my angel from God was Dave Grimes, Jr. He looked up and I said I'm in trouble and need help. Jr. went out to my car where I had parked it, looked under the hood and then suggested he take it in and have a look at my problem. I stated I had to be to work at Lambs Farm on Rt. 176 and the tollway by 7. I pulled in around 6:30. Jr. said he would have someone drive me work and I was able to punch in on time, 2 minutes to 7. Jr. called me later in the day to tell me I needed a new radiator and thermostat. So needing my car, I told him to fix it. He again sent someone to pick me up and bring me back. My car was not ready since parts had to be ordered. I have given a loaner to drive. This young man, was very kind and considerate, as I was really upset with the car. He said the parts would be there on Friday and they would start putting it back together again. I used the car over the weekend only to get home and left it sit in the driveway until I went to church and back. On Monday I drove to work only to get another phone call from Dave that a special tool had to be borrowed from Chevie. Then another call came on Tues. that the tool had been secured and when they starting working on it again, they found that the water pump had to be replaced. But a chain had broken in half and without tearing it completely apart, they would not be able to access any further damage. All I could think of is a hugh repair bill staring me in the face and I stilled wouldn't have a car. Jr. talked to his boss, and they decided to lower the bill that they could live with as well as myself. I feel it was most generous on their part for which I am truly grateful. Thank you to Jr's boss also. It was Wed. 9/12, and I still had the loaner. Since David had been so kind to me, I figured it was my obligation to buy a replacement vehicle from his dealership. He introduced me to Terry O'Gara who also was very kind and understanding. My Rollie met me after work at the dealership Wed. and with Terry showing me what used or preowned cars were available. Fell in love with a blue Corolla that was a '10 model. Of all the dealerships I have been in to purchase mostly new cars and a couple used ones, Libertyville Toyota, David Grimes, Jr., Terry O'Gara, and all the staff that I came in contact with during that week, were of the highest professional status. Helpful, kind and truly concerned with my safety for which I am truly grateful. I still believe that God was steering me to Libertyville Toyota's driveway instead of me driving another 3 blocks to the Chevie dealer. Thank you, Jr. for your kindess and concern and then introducing me to Terry. You both are God's angels in the book. I will be back!!!! More

Before I wrote this review, I looked over the other reviews for this dealership. I can testify to the truth of many of the other reviews (both in the good things and the bad). My experience working with Terry was very, very good. Doris was also also a great sales associate to work with. I felt like both of them were not pushy, but were still interested in making a sale. The process of looking and buying was pretty smooth. It was a little long, but this was my first time buying a car myself and I'm not sure what normal is. I felt well cared for the whole time I was there. One strange thing was that I felt like I had to ask a lot of questions that they probably should have told me anyway. This was a little frustrating. They didn't really explain how the 2-year "Toyota Care" worked and I forgot to ask, so I'm still a little fuzzy on the details. After I bought the car, though, right before I drove it off the lot, Terry brought a man over to help me set up the bluetooth in the car with my phone. I didn't think about this and it was really great that they guided me through the process! The prices online are as low as they will go. We did haggle over my trade-in and I felt like in the end I got a fair offer. The add-on's that other reviewers mentioned are quite a few. I had to ask about them, because my bill was more than our agreement. I then saw that they had tacked on some extra things. We were able to work out fair prices for these "extras," but I would have preferred them to ask before adding them to the bill. My recommendation would be to PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE BILLING STATEMENT BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING. Although it seems dishonest, I think it's fairly normal for dealerships to do this (especially with new cars). Harmony in the financing department was really helpful. She got me a great interest rate and crunched the numbers in my favor of which I am grateful. I had to visit the financing department a few days after I bought the new car and Harmony wasn't in. I was dropping off the title for the vehicle I traded in and had a couple questions. The guy I ended up with was extremely professional. He was on his computer the whole time I was talking with him. It felt like when you are talking with a friend while they are texting. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL (I think his name was Brian or Brad). This was a small part of the experience though. I haven't taken my car in for free servicing yet, so I can't really speak to that department. More

I am a long time customer with the Libertyville Toyota Dealership. I did an online search for certified used vehicles at your location. We chatted briefly and Matt gave me the impression that he was very excited to be of service and help me any way that he could. I stopped by the dealership a few days later and Terry O'Gara was my next point of contact as Matt was not in the office that day. Terry did everything to assure me that he was willing to help me with trying to suit me with the vehicle that was right for me. After some probing of what I was looking for within a very short time he lead me to the vehicle that I knew would be a good fit for me. I feel that I was treated with a very high level of professionalism and respect throughout the process. I was informed throughout the process of the steps necessary to comeplete the purchase of my new vehicle. I am impressed with the level of customer service. My background is customer service and understand that treating customers the way they want to be treated is "Great Customer Service." I also would like to comment on the service dept. When I call to set up an appointment with the service deptartment they are always very accomodating. When having my vehicle serviced the service dept. is always very informative when explaining services that they believe are necessay to keep my vehicle running without problems. They also point out the most urgent and also things for future concerns. More
