Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere Price is not the only reason to go to a particular dealership. It is also important how you are treated. And AutoNation Toyota has no clue how to treat customers. They certainly have competitive prices but that is where any positive ends. Went to purchase a vehicle (checkbook in hand) and was treated so poorly that I left even though they had the car I wanted. The next day I went to a different dealer and bought the EXACT SAME car (and they matched the price). I am not looking for "special" treatment but just to not be spoken too as if I am doing them a favor by gracing them with my presence. I have purchased many cars in my life and this is easily the worst customer service experience. So sad that Toyota is being represented by them. More
Unapologetic xxxx I wish I had read these reviews before wasting my time at this dealership. I requested an out of the door quote over the phone with Art Fanning. After he emailed me the quote, I asked him to confirm that the quote had used Chicago Sales Tax since I do not live in the area. He confirms that they used Chicago Sales Tax to calculate the quote. I went in the next day to look at the car and finalize the deal and what do you know. The quote that he had provided me was now the "Sales Price" and his manager was going to calculate the out the door price for me. When I brought this up he ignores me and talks over me about the breakdown of the new quote which was over $4,000 higher than the original he sent me. After I get up to leave because I was clearly frustrated, he agrees to have his manager look over the quote again. The quote he comes back is $1,000 less... BUT ALL THEY DID WAS TAKE OFF THE OPTIONAL INSURANCE PACKAGE. Needless to say, I stormed out. They know that they are using shady sales tactics. They don't care. ;TLDR: DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. Please don't go to these liars-Autonation Toyota They will try to get you into buying the vehicle no matter what. They will offer you the best price at first but when you buy the vehicle then the fin They will try to get you into buying the vehicle no matter what. They will offer you the best price at first but when you buy the vehicle then the finance silently changes everything without notifying you. I ended paying 4 thousand dollars more than what I was offered. When you call them back to explain the situation then they never pick up the phone nor they will help you with any detail related to the vehicle. Be very careful when dealing with the finance people and managers when signing the deal and understand every detail. I am getting additional bills in the mail on top of my promised payment about the tax they paid etc which I never got from any other dealer in the past. More

When I actually came into this dealership with the intention to purchase a vehicle, the "added" fees to purchase the vehicle such as, "Appearance/Prot When I actually came into this dealership with the intention to purchase a vehicle, the "added" fees to purchase the vehicle such as, "Appearance/Protection Packages/VIN Etching and others I'm not sure about, took away the discount that they had offered to me on the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. AutoNation Toyota also Charges YOU, (the owner trading in your old vehicle) a $250.00 fee to Detail your vehicle in order for them to sell it, as well as another "Service ? fee." If you like to PAY a lot in potential extra dealership fee's, buy your next Toyota here!! I left and bought a 2016 Subaru from another local dealership. After four (4) new Toyota's, Toyota lost me as a customer!! More
Finance lies, can't get ahold of anyone, no customer service I'm not even sure where to begin. I leased a car mid December and told them my situation that I was moving to a different state. After waiting 3 hours I'm not even sure where to begin. I leased a car mid December and told them my situation that I was moving to a different state. After waiting 3 hours, finance finally got back to me on what I would owe and said that they'd run everything through their system and let me know within 48 hours if there were any mistakes or changes that needed to be made. Fast forward to Jan 8, I and down in Texas and take a day off work to get my car registered before my temporary plates expire. At the registration location and I was told that I was not given the proper documentation to register my car. The woman there does a courtesy call to AutoNation libertyville to see if she can figure out what's wrong and the woman in Libertyville already knew who I was (this caught the texas woman off-guard). Clearly, if they knew they made a mistake, they should have informed me within those 48 hours, not when I had to call in weeks later. This call has sent me on a 1 month goose chase that still isn't resolved. In short, finance did the taxes wrong, knew this and didn't correct (still hasn't). They were supposed to send the necessary paper work and never have. No one will return my calls and when they do it was to tell me that I owe more money because of their screwup. Yet they STILL won't send me what I need to get my registration. Finally after calling the guy who leased me my car to get a hold of the finance guy, they sent my what I thought was the correct paperwork. Took another day off work to get my car registered and guess what, they messed up again. Now it's been a week and I can't get a hold of anyone. I've called the general manager, made 2 formal complaints and will go even higher up to Toyota as a whole. THIS IS THE WORST DEALERSHIP EVER. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Go down to the Elgin dealership. My dad went down there to get his car and they were tremendously helpful. They even said that if my situation had happened there that they would have bit the bullet and not have made me pay the $2000 extra in taxes. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!! More

They said if I cancel the extended warranty the payment amt will go back to the original amt. Of course the payment amt did not change. That is VERY dishonest. After previously buying 4 vehicles I thought this was a rude way to treat a loyal customer. Not to mention the lack of communication with emails and phone messages not being returned very promptly. It took 2 days to get thru to someone to cancel the extended warranty just shows how rude they are. I will not be back. More
