My son who is in the military was looking to purchase a used vehicle and develop his credit. We obtained a loan from a military credit union and went to the dealership with a check in hand to purchase the vehicle. The sales rep said it would be easier to use Toyota financial. I didn’t care as long as the rate and term were the same. I was told they could match the rate and term, signed the financial agreement, and the sales agreement, and drove off with the vehicle. A few days later I was called by the finance department saying they could not honor this rate and term. Of course it was a higher interest rate and a shorter term which my son cannot afford. With all of the inquiries on my credit report, I was on able to secure the loan again from the military credit union. My son is now deployed and has his truck with him. My option is to somehow get the truck back from him to the dealer or agree to a higher rate and shorter term. So much for the Truth in Lending Act! There is fine print in the rental agreement stating that this is not a final approval from the financial company. Of course I did not notice this and no one told me this otherwise I would’ve use the check that I had in my hand. More

Little and behold he handed her a half a folded piece of paper and told her to sign here and being a trusting person she did. Well she ended up purchasing a windshield protection and something for a total of $1500! We have tried to cancel this countless times and the GM is no where to be found and no one can get this done and refuses to help when by law you can can cancel service contracts if you don't use them! This is a shady, criminal, almost sexist way of doing business with someone that trusted your dealership! A half a piece of paper folded? Seriously? DON'T EVER COME HERE! More

Poor service Dept and Shadey prices on warrantys. Poor Service and customer care Vehicle was due for tire rotation, oil change and filter as well as transmission within 10hrs of rolling off the lot Poor Service and customer care Vehicle was due for tire rotation, oil change and filter as well as transmission within 10hrs of rolling off the lot. Took multiple calse to get the service manager to return our calls but bottom line is he says they did it even though the documentation they gave us says it wasnt done and if we wanted to make the 2hr trip back they would rotate the tires but we would have to pay $128 for the transmission fluid replacement. Learned a lesson about why we should be locally. OVERPRICED extended warranty- while they have fair and honest pricing with the vehicle the warrantys are were they try to get it back. the prices were high although the warrantys appeared comprehensive and could be serviced locally. we refused because of the cost and immediately because he asked if we belonged to costci or sams the price dropped by 1200 dollars. suggestions- if your going for the vehicle and the no haggle pricing do your homework. know the required maintenance for the car you are buying and insist they show documentation that it all is completed before you agree to purchase. Waste of your time - Worse Service Center I was doing service with them last several years because of the near by dealer and it was ok with the service. Only thing they always telling us to ad I was doing service with them last several years because of the near by dealer and it was ok with the service. Only thing they always telling us to add additional problem, but that is ok you can accept or deny. But the main problem service time, it takes 2+ hours to change an oil, and never give on promised time. Other places 15-45 min. More
ignores customers I saw a truck online. Went to test drive the '07 Silverado w/ tonneau cover. I opened up the tailgate but not the tonneau on the test drive. My mist I saw a truck online. Went to test drive the '07 Silverado w/ tonneau cover. I opened up the tailgate but not the tonneau on the test drive. My mistake. Test drove vehicle. I like it and all seemed fine. On my way home the brakes squealed like a freight train. I removed the front passenger tire and caliper. Brake pads were brand new. In the bed of the truck I discovered a brand new unused wheel hub bearing assembly that seemed big enough for this truck. I live just outside of Milwaukee. I had to drive the truck back down to Toyota because "any toyota dealership" would not take care of it. BS. I was told they would fix the brake issue and try to figure out why the wheel hub assembly was in the bed of the truck tucked behind a wheel well. They also told me they would clean out the bed of the truck since it had rocks, mulch, bottle caps, straws, just straight up garbage in it. I called and spoke with the GM. I asked if this breaks down on the way, I would expect you to pay for the tow. The GM told me "Well its a used car, we don't guarantee anything." Like I went and bought a wheel bearing to toss in the back of the truck. So after an 8 hour round trip they did nothing to compensate me for my time. BS. I was also told "Oh yea we had an employee set that wheel hub bearing assembly down somewhere and he forgot where he put it." Even more BS. How does an employee set down a $200+ part, in the bed of a truck, that has a tonneau cover, behind the wheel well?! I feel like I was treated like crap at this dealership. If I could return the vehicle I would. It is not worth the utter disrespect shown by this dealership and the GM. They have detoured me from ever purchasing anything used or new from a Toyota dealership ever again. I did write an email to complain about the situation. I was told within 24-48 hours I would get a phone call. Well that never happened, to say the least I am not surprised. From what I noticed all the employees standing or sitting around with their thumbs up their butts it's probably hard to find the time. FAST FORWARD TO A FEW MONTHS LATER: I refinanced this vehicle through my own bank because the interest rates Toyota and Wells Fargo wanted was too high. I sent in all of my necessary paperwork for Libertyville Toyota to refund me my GAP insurance which the dealership charges. IT'S BEEN 2.5 MONTHS. LIBERTYVILLE TOYOTA WILL NOT ANSWER MY EMAILS OR ANSWER MY PHONE CALLS. I KEEP GETTING PUSHED OFF AND IGNORED. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW A COMPANY CAN OPERATE BY IGNORING SOMEONE WHO DROPPED OVER $17K AT THEIR BUSINESS. WORST COMPANY EVER. More
