Extremely disappointed with salesman Ramiro Romero who's completely unprofessional and the lack of customer service here. I contacted Toyota Libertyville about a 2025 specific vehicle which Mr. Romero re completely unprofessional and the lack of customer service here. I contacted Toyota Libertyville about a 2025 specific vehicle which Mr. Romero responded was available to make a deposit. I let Mr. Romero know that I was definitely interested and he never responded directly. A couple of days later I inquired about a different vehicle on their website and Mr. Romero immediately followed up. I said I was more interested in the first vehicle if it was still available and I'd like to make a deposit. Mr. Romero said "let's secure that car for you!" and he would email me the deposit form to reserve the car. I never received the email. I later called into the dealership to talk to the finance guy to make the deposit. When the receptionist answered I let her know which car I was calling about and she knew my name without me having to tell her. I ended up leaving a voicemail with finance and he never called me back. I followed up with Mr. Romero and he now tells me he's sold the car to someone else and shockingly he unprofessionally tries to put the blame on me. Absolutely not this was Mr. Romero's failure to do his job and send me what he said he would. Don't waste your time with Ramiro Romero. He's either a liar or incompetent, and completely unprofessional. Response times are completely unacceptable. The dealership's internal process failed, and instead of taking ownership, their sales manager chose to shift the blame to the customer. I wasted a lot of valuable time, including getting my insurance and credit union loan with credit report pull, and lost the chance to purchase a car due entirely to the sales manager's failure to complete a simple promised task. If you value timely service and professional accountability, I strongly encourage looking elsewhere. More
