I was calling to get hold of the service advisor or any one of them for questions on the service performed on my SUV, but no response from the voice mail I left over the phone. one of them for questions on the service performed on my SUV, but no response from the voice mail I left over the phone. They misdiagnosed the noise that was the purpose of my visit after not fully investigating the problem. I then asked for a transmission service. They managed to break the welds for the drain plug nut so that drain plug now just spins. They couldn't drain the transmission but also couldn't stop it from leaking. It did not leak at all when I brought the truck to them. They blamed the previous mechanic for over tightening the drain plug, but again, it was not leaking. The previous mechanic didn't break anything. This dealership then said it would be over $800 to replace the transmission pan to fix the leak, a problem that didn't exist when I got there, and I'd have to wait a day for parts to come in. I declined. In the end I was charged $190 for them to misdiagnose the original problem and then break my truck. The original noise was a loud clacking under acceleration or while facing up an incline, even when stationary. They guessed that something had broken lose inside the front, passenger side CAT. It was actually a failed spring inside the starter. The gear in the starter was free to slide forward and back, the noise was that gear bouncing off the flywheel. That could have ended very badly if a more thorough mechanic hadn't solved the problem. I will be replacing my transmission pan myself, with OEM parts, for less than half of what the dealership wanted to charge me to fix their mistake. More
