My service man did a wonderful job of getting the car back to me in less than 1 1/2 hours. My first visit to this dealership was relatively unpleasant. I made my appointment online. Unknown to me is that I was assigned to a specific person for check-in. My service writer was busy and the unpleasant. I made my appointment online. Unknown to me is that I was assigned to a specific person for check-in. My service writer was busy and the two guys hanging out doing nothing could not help me because that is the dealership protocol. Dropping off a car before work should be a timely transaction and the public should not have to wait for the person they are assigned to, to become available to help them when there are two other people doing absolutely nothing but chatting with each other. I made a very specific request upfront and that was that no one wearing cologne or aftershave drive the car due to extreme allergies in my family. My request was dismissed as “I’ll notate it and we will do what we can.” That’s a very serious request because it has consequences that effect other people and those consequences can be negative health. I had to insist on it when the clerk told me they only drive it from point a to point B, it shouldn’t be a big deal. Not being a medical professional, or knowing the impact on my family, I don’t think a service writer should attempt to determine what is a big deal and what isn’t when a special request like this is made. It can’t be that hard to fulfill. No fragrances, and no chemicals on the inside of the car means exactly that yet my car was cleaned with some sort of disinfectant. Last but not least, I arrived one hour after receiving the call that my car was ready. I came on my lunch hour. The cashier did not have my paperwork and wanted to send me back to see my service writer who was away at lunch. Again, I came on my lunch hour to pick it up and waiting for her to return was not an option. The icing on the cake is that someone came out from the show room armed and ready to sell me another car. My 2020 Camry only has 16,700 miles on it and the sales person assumed I was dissatisfied with the car. He determined it would be a really good time for me to trade it in. I have more than one car at my disposal and I am not at all dissatisfied with this one. Here’s what it cost you. My uncle just sold one of his properties and part of his goal is to purchase a brand new Camry hybrid. He’ll be doing that in the next two weeks. I can promise you that if the dismissing and cavalier attitude towards the customer in the service department reflects the general attitude of this dealership, we will be going somewhere else to get it. I am his financial advisor and he will buy that car where I tell him to buy it. My rating is two stars based on the speed at which the service was done. More
Went in for tire rotation and waited for three hours for this simple task. Frustrating. Service person did not update what was going on. Had to keep asking him on updates.
