I took in a 2007 Avalon because the power remotes functioned poorly. First time the service advisor didn’t call me for two days. When I finally reached him, he admitted that they had not even looke functioned poorly. First time the service advisor didn’t call me for two days. When I finally reached him, he admitted that they had not even looked at the car. I took the car back and brought it back a week later. Same thing, he didn’t call me for two days. When I finally got a hold of him he said the antenna was $900 and service would cost $2000. But the part was back ordered and Toyota most likely was not planning to make the part. He still charged me $189 for diagnostics. More
The service center for this dealership is always busy, so I tend to cut them some slack. However, they have always been prompt and attentive while my car is in for service. Very disappointed with the Service Dept. of AutoNation Toyota Irvine...The phone system to make inquiry into service needs was very inefficient. The crew of off-site coordinators had no clu of AutoNation Toyota Irvine...The phone system to make inquiry into service needs was very inefficient. The crew of off-site coordinators had no clue on good customer service and was simply not helpful at all. I tried calling five times (not even talking about the long waiting time on the phone), but still not getting the information I am seeking. Eventually, I had to drive up to the AN Toyota Irvine dealer in person to get my information, and then made the appointment for service. When coming down to services, it beat me that it would take almost three and a half hours to work on the change of brake fluid since my appointment time of 7 AM. When I was told by the Service Advisor (around 10:30 AM) that my 2017 Prius was ready, upon my walk-around of my vehicle, it's noted the car was NOT even washed which was part of the deal of that day's service appointment. Needless to say, I had to wait for another 20 minutes, It's an aweful experience!!!! The dealer could have done better, OR to compensate me for all these ridicules and inconvenience. Perhaps I should deserve the $100 gas money for the poor services causing a lot of agony and wasting lots of precious time on me and on AN Toyota Irvine.
