The turning point came when we had the privilege of meeting the dealership's new General Manager, Balal. From the very beginning, he exuded professionalism and made us feel valued as potential customers. He learned of my long-held dream of finding the perfect Tacoma, and he was determined to make it a reality. George, Zuly, Sean and Mark were amazing from start to finish, including overcoming a surprise emergency repair that they helped share the cost. It is rare to find such open, honest and helpful people in an industry known for the opposite. I was in the market for a reliable car for my daughter, a first-time driver looking for a used Highlander Hybrid. We found a nice one online and reached out to George in sales, who immediately reserved the car for me while it went through processing and took it offline. I offered a deposit but it was not necessary. Other dealerships promised to hold a cars for me but turned around and sold it anyway, shameless not keeping their word. George was very accommodating to my schedule as I lived 40 miles away. Their pricing and negotiations were fair. We bought the car and proudly drove home. Zuly and Sean from the service department fulfilled their promise to make some minor repairs and even arranged for a rental car. Then during a cross country road trip to take my daughter to college in Tennessee the car broke down. We had to perform some costly repairs at the Sandia Albuquerque Toyota dealer (amazing people once again - thank you Dave for putting us ahead of others minimizing time lost). When I reached out to Sean the Service Manager and Mark the General Manager at AutoNation Irvine, they graciously explained how they do their best to inspect and ensure their cars are safe and reliable. However, rather than ignore me and point towards paperwork of the “As-Is” status of my purchase, they showed great integrity and shared in the cost of the repairs. For this I am forever grateful that they stood by their vehicle and chose to do “what is right and fair” rather than focus only on profits and burning bridges. Instead the AutoNation Toyota team demonstrated that they want me and YOU as a customer for life that stands by their word, their cars and their customers. Thank you George, Zuly, Sean and Mark for being a model of what a high-quality car dealership can and should be.
