I have been a loyal Toyota customer for twenty years and have always received great service from this dealer. However, this trip proved to be somewhat of a trying experience. I spent over five hours trying to get the preliminary work done in buying a new vehicle. Things seemed to keep dragging on. There were delays in appraising my old vehicle, detailing the new vehicle and getting to the final paperwork. Although I got a great deal on my van, I would recommend that you be sure all the parts of the buying process be ready for your purchase. More

I was impressed by the salesman's (Duncan Ennis)response and follow up to my web inquiry and that he had what I was looking for. He was very helpful at showing us the vehicles that would best fit our need and follow up to my web inquiry and that he had what I was looking for. He was very helpful at showing us the vehicles that would best fit our needs. However, he did not help us get a reduction in price and the cost ended up being much more than we had planned on. This was especially true when we met with their financing manager, Lance Griffin. who rushed us through the financing procedure, did not go over the purchase agreement with us and added extra costs on with no explanation. We really should have taken time read the financing document to ask questions. However, I believe the finance manager, Lance Griffin, should have gone through the contract with us rather than hand us a sheet 3 feet long and told us where to sign. We would not have signed it without some explanations and probably changes. We plan to pay it off as soon as possible because we got taken on the interest rate. We were stupid as we had not purchased a vehicle in many years, had leased for the last 12 years. When I asked Duncan how soon we could pay it off with no prepayment penalty, he said 3 months, later Lance told us at least 12-13 months, and later when I read the back of the finance doc, it states 6 months. This is not clear at this time!!! We take responsibility for agreeing, however, the financing was a very bad experience. More

I've purchased two Toyotas from Fort Myers Toyota. My mother, seeing my happiness with my purchases also ended up buying two vehicles there. Fort Myers Toyota has changed. Before they were willing to listen, help, and generally do their best to get your business. Now they ignore what you say, are insistent and pushy, and are definitely don't care if they get your business even when there's literally no one else on the lot to help. Considering they're paid on commission that boggles my mind. I went to look at a FJ Cruiser. Going in I explained I was happy with my current vehicle but was interested in the FJ because of carrying capacity and looks. The man that was helping us offered to have my trade in appraised and while the appraisal people were doing that he was going to give me a test drive. He took my truck away, brought it back after some time, and THEN wanted to give me a test drive. I wanted to look at the numbers first and was insistent on it. He went, got his 'desk partner' to basically force me to look at the FJ. I went along with it after arguing for a few minutes. Then we were taken to another rude guy that wanted to know how I was paying before he could tell me what my trade it was worth and what the vehicle cost. He tried to tell me the price would be different depending on credit rating and what rebates I was eligible for, etc. Obviously the trade in doesn't change, nor does the price based off rebates, only the end result. He wasn't even willing to give me a ballpark to see if was worth my time to continue on that thread. At that point my patience was exhausted and I demanded the key to my vehicle back. I know my mother also ran into poor customer service when she went to buy a truck a couple years ago. She ended up going to another dealer and I'd recommend the same. More
Both the sales person and manager helped me find a car that met my needs. I test drove 3 different cars and the sales person explained every aspect of each car. My daughter and I needed a vehicle for her and my grandchildren, we met Dan right away. He was knowledgeable and offered several choices for our particular situation. He told us that we would be much better, in our situation, with a lease. He went above and beyond, working with us and my insurance company, to get us into a brand new vehicle. Something I did not think was possible. I want to tell you, Fort Myers Toyota has a wonderful employee with Dan. Integrity, truthfulness and complete and total honesty are a only a few of the things we think of when we speaking of Dan. A friend of my daughters leased a vehicle with Dan the week prior and she also spoke very highly of Dan. My daughter and I had a great experience at Fort Myers Toyota because of Dan. I took my 2011 Toyota Camry after a collision accident lured by good reviews. At first glance the customer service seemed ok but in the end when they broke some of the parts installed in my car and didn't lured by good reviews.
