Purchased preowned PriusV with best extended warranty available exactly 24 months prior to having it towed to my trusted dealership. It was just shy of 6 months since they installed my 3rd, Yes THIRD hy available exactly 24 months prior to having it towed to my trusted dealership. It was just shy of 6 months since they installed my 3rd, Yes THIRD hybrid battery in the 24 month, 16,000 miles I drove my first hybrid car. I naively believed the reputation that Toyota dealerships are trustworthy, use only the best parts installed by Toyota trained and skilled mechanics. I admit i was baffled and shocked to hear that the cost would be 4200 (no written estimate ever given to me despite request to Service Manager). Surely it was covered by warranty? 3 dealership installed hybrid batteries couldn't "live" long enough to give me more than a paltry 16,000 miles in total?? The polite and empathetic response was that my warranty would not cover "what my Prius needed": a TOYOTA hybrid battery that would ensure that I would have no more problems and only come to the dealership for routine oil changes. I slowly asked questions but I went to a dealership because I didnt want to be a mechanic or a cynical consumer thinking I had to question every detail of every encounter at the dealership. I'm old but not stupid and i am dumbfounded by the unmitigated gall of the management of this dealership. They should have been apologetic when the car died 24 hours after purchase. They used their "discretion" to use a clearly poor quality reman hybrid battery and send me on my way as friends teased me. They had not one but TWO more opportunities to install a Toyota manufactured hybrid battery in this vehicle. Shame on these individuals for taking what i consider such a short sighted and unethical view of repairing their product with 3 grossly inadequate batteries assuming the complaints of one old woman would fall on deaf ears. Why was the logical conclusion that "what I needed" was a Toyota manufactured hybrid battery made ONLY when I had to call my daughter to bail me out of that dealership with a dependable Toyota? I would laugh at this story but I am too embarrassed to have been so gullible. And why does your rating system not have fractions? One star??? There really should be an option for zero stars. More

My service rep was very thorough in explaining what needs to be done. Very pleased with her. I went in for an oil change and tire rotations with an appointment time, but it did took a while before I got by to be done. Very pleased with her. My first car was a Toyota and my family bought 4 Toyotas without hesitation. I grew up 5 minutes locally from AutoNation Toyota Cerritos & I have nice experienced from this dealership. However, my four To without hesitation. I grew up 5 minutes locally from AutoNation Toyota Cerritos & I have nice experienced from this dealership. However, my four Toyotas were purchased from other Toyota dealers since we couldn't settle on a price. After my last Toyota purchase, Hooman Toyota of Long Beach closed its doors and my life-time offer of free car washes and oil changes went down down the drain. Corporate office would not honor or keep their word, so the only reason I am changing oil at any Toyota dealers is due to the coupons on oil changes. Sadly, but honestly, I would have bought nothing else but Toyotas. More
