After looking at and test driving 4 other manufacturers of compact suv's at Bell Road dealerships west of I 17 we decided to buy - chase Consumer Reports highest rated compact a 2024 Forester at Scottsdal of compact suv's at Bell Road dealerships west of I 17 we decided to buy - chase Consumer Reports highest rated compact a 2024 Forester at Scottsdale Auto Nation Subaru. When we first walked onto the new car sales lot we expected another aggressive shark like salesperson who could sense " blood in the water." Instead we were greeted and assisted by Dylan Carpenter who was helpful, friendly and most importantly well versed about the Subaru product line. We looked at the full line of Subaru compact suvs and test drove the Forester Limited. Dylan accompanied us on the test drive and he allowed both my wife and myself to drive the car. He answered each of our questions and explained most of the cars features during the test drive. At this point we decided we liked the Forester but we didn't want, or need, or want to pay for all the bells and whistles that the Forester Limited offers - so we looked at all the other models in the Forester line. We decided we wanted a Forester Sport with just the equipment it came with at the base price. We went home and called Dylan we wanted to make a cash offer on a white Forester Sport - but, they did not have one on the front sales lot. Dylan located a white Forester Sport and they moved it from their new car storage and made it ready for sale. When Dylan called he explained that the white Forester Sport he had ready for us to check out had a few options that were in addition to that models base features I was skeptical but we read about the options on Consumer Reports website and they were things my wife really wanted. I emailed two other local Subaru dealer salespeople who had texted me and told them exactly what the vehicle I wanted was - a 2024 white Subaru Forester Sport with the same options that Dylan had quoted me. I received emailed quotes and a written guaranteed firm out the door quote. Next, I negotiated a firm price with Dylan and two days later we picked up the vehicle. The dealership still has to make money and they had a very lovely lady do her best to get us to buy an extended warranty but I prevailed and we left in our new car having paid almost exactly what our research led us to believe we could of bought the vehicle for and exactly what I negotiated with Dylan as our out the door price. Buying a new car is always a pain but this was as easy as the process gets and Subaru product is worth it. More
Our purchase of a 2024 Subaru Outback (Limited XT) on January 13, 2024 was probably the best buying experience we have ever had in the past 20 years. Over the years we have purchased more than a dozen new cars and many of those experiences were not like this one. This dealership was very cooperative in removing any add on items that I requested and the final price was extremely fair for a car that is demand. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any new car purchaser. We arrived at the dealership at 10:30 am - checked over the vehicle that we had reserved over the phone, verified it was as we requested (we wanted the turbo charge - Limited "XT" model). Luis was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and answered any all questions. Christopher Mueller in Finance was concise and informative about the various warranty opportunities afforded new customers. We chose not to purchase these items. We left with our new vehicle and big smiles on our face in less than 3 hours (which included a complete run down all the functions this new car has to offer). We are very happy with the entire experience and would recommend that if you are in the market for a Subaru - This is a dealership you would want to work with! More
Steve Russo . ...Mike Harris ....Very shady People doing Shady business here...If you look at the prior reviews...They are telling the God's Honest truth ....I boug ...Mike Harris ....Very shady People doing Shady business here...If you look at the prior reviews...They are telling the God's Honest truth ....I bought my first ever brand new Wrx here...I bought it at night ...My salesman told me to bring it back the next day to get it detailed so I did and hour later my sales guy pulled it up ..So go to work and I see a scuff on the passenger side front bumper all the paint gone...I called the dealer immediately...Remember at this point I had my car for less than 24 hours...So they told me to drop off my car I said I need my car for at least a week then I'll drop it off ...Over 2 weeks later they still have my car ...I call and demand my car back ...Only to find over spray on the side passenger mirror.. windshield ...And it looked like someone there keyed my instrument display...cause remember I had my car for a week ..It wasn't there before..I had to buff it out ..Crooks are definitely working at this dealer ..I had two cvts under warranty replaced here .Since the original cvt started to leak a tad bit at 14,000 miles ...My Driver's side side mirror was shaking after they had my car there at the body shop..My list is way longer than I even wanna remember.....They stole money, time and created so much lies to do what they do here...I feel for all the customers & SOA & the manufacturer who has to pay out for made up warranty claims....It's a vicious circle of what they are doing here...Stay away or get ripped off ....Your choice ....Choose wisely.... In this particular case an increase of $4000.00., resulting in a sale/fail. CAUTION: I recommend extreme caution for anyone even remotely considering doing business with this automobile dealership! ***This week I checked the (Better Business Bureau) rating for this business. Not surprised: “F” BBB rating due to “Failure to respond to complaints filed against business”. I didn’t even know BBB had an ‘F’ rating.*** On June 10th, 2023, Christopher Mueller (sales person) emailed me a (firm) price agreement, approved by sales manager Brett Leib. The stated Autonation price of the new vehicle would be $35164.39, and my trade allowance would be $24154.74 – with a closing balance due of $12613.15. I signed my approval to the document, and emailed it back to Mr. Mueller. At the closing date – having waited in the office for over 1.5 hours, Mr. Mueller exited from an office and approached me with the following. “First the ‘bad news’ – your trade value has been reduced by $4000.00, but the ‘good news’ is that we will only charge you an additional $2000.00.” I was astounded by the news. Based on many previous discussions with Mueller, he knew I’d never have made that 200+ mile trip to Scottsdale, if the (previously agreed sales agreement was to be changed)! In fact he and I had just discussed the sales matter, by phone, and on line, several times the day before, that coupled with the fact the new Subaru had not even been washed and fueled in advance of the closing appointment, was outrageous. It immediately became evident this entire episode was nothing more than a planned bait and switch designed to have me drive 200+ miles from Sierra Vista, to Scottsdale, then have me sit around for nearly two hours wondering when we’d get to closing, followed by then changing the agreement in an attempt to extract thousands of additional dollars from me. I asked Mr. Mueller for the return of my key module and said I was leaving. A gentleman, whom I’d never been introduced to, followed me out the door and began with excuses. I left the premises. More
Overall purchase experience was fine, however after purchase of a used vehicle which was AutoNation Certified and came with a 3 month/4,000 mile warranty, a few weeks later, I had a problem starting th purchase of a used vehicle which was AutoNation Certified and came with a 3 month/4,000 mile warranty, a few weeks later, I had a problem starting the vehicle. I had the vehicle towed to a dealer and repaired as instructed by AutoNation Subaru. Luckily the repair was only a few hundred dollars, because the dealership has failed to reimburse me for the repair and an attempted contact to the General Manager was ignored. If you are purchasing a used car, do not put any value to AutoNation Certified. More
