Brought my new Outback in for it’s 6000 mile service. Oil change, filter, tire rotation, and inspection. I arrived 15 minutes early for my scheduled service and waited over two hours. The service coordinator was friendly and courteous. It seemed a long time for the service but it was my first experience with AutoNation, so maybe they take a while to do a complete job. The service coordinator let us know the car was ready, so we took possession and left the dealership. We stopped at a shop on the way home and when we started the car, I was met with the messages that I need an oil change, filter, and inspection. I figured that it might take a little time for the indicators to reset. The indicators didn’t reset over the rest of the day. I called AutoNation and told them. Their response was that they would reset the indicators the next time I stop by. I told them that I live a long way from the dealership and could they just tell me how to reset it. I was told that I could look it up on YouTube. I said I’d work it out myself and they wished me a good day. No apology for the inconvenience. I felt like I was taking up their time. Not impressed with my first service visit. And yes, it was easy to reset the indicators, but I shouldn’t have had to. More

I didn't have an appointment when my check engine light came on and loud noises coming from the front engine compartment, however they told me they would be able to squeeze me in if I wait. I waited and they told me that the code was because I had an aftermarket gas cap. They did not address the noise up front, which was clearly coming from the fan belt pulley system. I bought a new gas cap and paid a diagnostic fee. That was a week ago the noise got worse, I tried to get an appointment and was never called back. I'm currently getting a tow truck because the noise is gone, because The pulley broke off and stopped making noise. I understand if a repair shop is a very busy but please do not say you did a proper diagnosis just to have me on the side of the road a week later for something that was very obvious. Very disappointed and wasted a lot of my time. More
