The outstanding response to a possible transmission problem was much appreciated. Nick told me that it was dangerous to drive the car in that condition, because the transmission could lock up while dri problem was much appreciated. Since the diagnosis couldn't be done that particular day, I told Nick that I would drive anyway and come back another time. Nick was able find a loaner car on short notice, so that I would not have to drive the car in that condition. Turns out that there was not a transmission problem, although there is an unusual noise from it. Since we had expected to have the loaner for up to several weeks, we filled up the partially depleted gas tank, only to return the loaner after about 50 miles. So we were given some credit against the service charges for the amount of extra fuel, thank you! I am completely satisfied, within the usual boundaries of doing business with a dealership. By that, I mean having to dodge the usual upselling of services, such as changing air filters that I had already done. And changing the differential oil...another upsell item, since my owner's manual says inspect only every 30,000 miles. I was disappointed that after making an online service appointment, I was told upon arrival that the appointment is for evaluation of my requested service, not service that could be done while I wait, due to a shortage of service technicians. I was also told that had I phoned in to make the appointment, that I would have been advised of this situation. Otherwise, arriving and greeting and discussion of the requested service was nicely done. And the online dealer coupon for a discount was honored. More
