The Shocking Revelation Ninety minutes into this grand journey, a mechanic, good guy really, sat down with me. Together, we cracked the code. It turns out the port is structurally flawed and fundamentally unfixable. Even better? The entire global Nissan empire already knew this. They simply chose to keep it a thrilling secret so I could enjoy stale coffee in the eye watering pungency of a diffuser's petroleum based 'scent.' I believe it is "Ode to Cage Bottom." Exquisite Customer Care When I mused, why was this known truth was fleeting, I was instructed to go wait in the lounge. This directive was delivered with the delicate, condescending tone usually reserved for toddler reprimands. Old, nice people get treated accordingly. The Magic Disappearing Act I sat. I waited... I did share this sojourn with other elderly, delightful detainees passing the little time we have left together sharing the angst, confusion and frustration of the Nissan's money milking apparatus. Another hour passed. When I finally, politely inquired about the vehicle, the staff casually explained they had "sent it to be washed." Very bad for my $300, recently applied, ceramic coating. My car was completely missing in action for nearly three hours. I cannot prove the service advisors took it on a high-speed, Ferris Bueller-style joyride through the city, but the drastic drop in my MPG, crumbs in the center console and shampoo scent on the floor mats speaks volumes. Zero Accountability – Safety Recall Ignored I would never recommend Nissan Pembroke Pines or Nissan corporate to anyone. I brought my vehicle in for an active safety recall (ignition shutting off while driving). After being offered a "plastic insert" fix, my car became completely non-functional on their lot. Since February, I have been stuck in a loop of "passing the buck" between the dealership and corporate. After being forced to tow the car back on 3/18, I waited nearly two weeks for a response. When Corporate finally called on 3/30, the representative was dismissive, refused to provide a clear explanation for why the defect wasn't covered, and even refused to repeat himself when I asked for clarification for my records. They have left me with a totaled, paid-off car, provided zero loaner accommodations, and showed zero professional accountability. Avoid this service department at all costs. More
