On May 25 I took my car into Auto Nation Nissan Chandler in Gilbert Arizona, I got several emails in regards to trading my car in etc, I made an apt and showed up, went in and started the process to get my in Gilbert Arizona, I got several emails in regards to trading my car in etc, I made an apt and showed up, went in and started the process to get my car appraised. Back story I was involved in a hit and run a month or 2 prior and didn’t know if I wanted to just get the bumper replaced or potentially a new car. While my car was getting appraised I waited inside the appraisal manager came back and told me the options. And I proceeded on my way. Fast Forward to June 14,2023 I got a DM from a friend and it was a video of my car that was reposted on Instagram from Tik Tok of an employee by the name of “Nismo” aka Nick Scherr he took a video of my car basically insinuating that I did not take care of my car and that I’ve only had the Vehicle for 3 months( which is not true) and it’s in bad condition etc.. the video ended up going viral on tik tok and so many comments were being made about me and my character and nick chiming in on those comments as well. Imagine the embarrassment. I immediately called the dealership I spoke w/ Ryan who was very apologetic regarding this incident . he advised me that he would have the GM Victor would reach out to me.. it took victor all day to call me I ended up calling several times until I got ahold of him.. and the conversation I had with victor was very unsettling.. he barely wanted to apologize for the incident that occurred with his employee he said he would get the video taken down and speak w/ Nick regarding this.. but he also advised me that people do have freedom of speech insulating that it was okay for him to post those kind of videos, I asked him had he watched the video he replied back he doesn’t have social media it’s not something he is into. I asked for corporates number and he was happy to give it over. Victor made me feel like my feeling did not matter one because it took all day to respond and then when he did his reply to my complaint was very lack luster. I am embarrassed that my car was plastered all over social media and talked about as if I wanted this damage to be done to my car. I am very disappointed in Auto nation Nissan Chandler I have sent plenty of people to you all who have actually bought cars w/ the sales team all for me to be treated in this manner. I work in customer service and I would never go out of my way to record someone’s car or anything for the matter freedom of speech or not. I bought this car in privacy not w/ the intent of behind bad mouthed or shamed of how my car looks. there is just some things you don’t do. You don’t know what people are going thru and what can trigger or hurt someone, it cost nothing to be a decent human being and I just didn’t think auto nation would hire people like that I’m sure that is not a part of Auto nations core values as a company.
