Took my car and dropped it off for a diagnostic check b/c I'm losing 1 quart of oil every oil change which is about every 5,000 miles. Told them I also had black sut in the tail pipe. Advisor called me a b/c I'm losing 1 quart of oil every oil change which is about every 5,000 miles. Told them I also had black sut in the tail pipe. Advisor called me and said that losing 1qt of oil every oil change is amazing if that's all your losing and couldn't find any leaks. I asked her what about the black in the tail pipe? She said we didn't check that wasn't aware of that. She told me they waived the 160.00 diagnostic fee. I told her I've never heard losing oil was a good thing.I also told them I had black sut in the tail pipe when I originally made my appointment. I'l Never go back to Auto Nation!!! I called and left a message for her to call me and no response. I also called and left a message for the service manager and no response! They absolutely have no customer service skills and act like it's a joke. More

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. They are the worst in my opinion. My sonata just slammed to a violent stop with no warning, throwing me into the steering wheel while driving 45 MPH and cut off. First, Hyundai's roadside assistance left me stranded for 6 hours in 105 degree heat. Then, they call me and tell me that my oil pain is leaking and that there was visible damage showing that I had hit something. I argued with them because I knew that I had never hit anything and that I had also just had the oil changed. Reluctantly I agreed to the repair, but told them I wanted the oil pan they took off. The next day when I arrived to pick up the car, I asked them if they were sure it was fixed because if it did that to me out on the interstate, I could be killed. They assured me it was fixed. While there, I looked at the old oil pan and saw NO DAMAGE at all and I made them put water in it to prove to me it was leaking. It did not leak. They assured me it was a small hole and would leak over time. So, I left with the car. While on the way home, the car did the exact same thing. Came to a violent stop with no warning and cut off. I called "Frank" back and was told to bring it back to them the next day. I said you want me to drive it to you. He said yes, it would be fine. That night, I filled the old oil pan with water and sat it in my desk at work to see if it would leak, 2 days later no leak, I took it home and again filled with water an put it my garage. No leak. I crawled under my car and there was absolutely no damage to the undercarriage of my car, nor was there any oil spots where the oil had been leaking from my car. I took photos of the undercarriage, and the rug I parked my car on in the garage. No oil spots at all. S. They replaced the fuel pump, the second time they call me and tell me it is the fuel pump ($1288). I demanded that they pay me back for the oil pan, which they did ($789) and I get in the car to leave. The first time I look into my passenger side mirror I am like "WTH". I pull over in the next exit to look at my mirror. It was severely damaged. Look like it had been sitting in the sun for 30 years. The black molded plastic was now a faded gray and had runs all down it like something had been spilled on to it. I went straight back and called "Frank" out there again. He agreed with me that the damage was done while there, but "they don't have security cameras, so he cant see what happened" He tells me to leave the car with him and he will take it to the body shop to be painted. I was skeptical that paint would work, but I agreed. A week later I call and Frank tells me that the body shop is busy and cant get it in. I start calling again the next week. He tells me it is ready. I go to pick it up and it looked like my 7 yr old grandson painted it with a can of spray paint. It was gobbed on and looked even worse. The paint just wiped off on my hand. Frank tells me the body shop was busy and he had his shop paint it. I ask him why he didn't inspect it before telling me to come get it. He again promised me he would take it to the body shop to be repaired. After a week I start calling again. He never calls me back, then finally my call was answered by an associated, who told me Frank was out sick and he would call me back. The next time I call she tells me that there is no record of them having my car. I left a message for the service manager. I called the body shop they told me they were using and was told that no one from Auto Nation had called them at all. 2 days later, Frank calls me and apologizes and tells me that he was the only one that knew my car was there, He never put in a work order ticket on my car for 2 weeks. He tells me that the service manager was refusing to fix my car, and I needed to come pick it up. By this time, I was was so upset about the way I had been done, I admit I went off on him a little, but it was deserved. I spoke to the service manager and argued with him for a few minutes. He finally agreed to have it painted, but said" that is it, if it comes right off, we are done with you." When I told, them no, that if it came off, I would expect it to be replaced. I even agreed to pay for 1/2 of a new replacement. The service manager got really ugly and told me to come get my da** car off my lot now. I am not doing a da** thing. Went to pick it up(after a total of a month) and was told again by Frank that he was sorry, that no one knew the car was there and he was trying to help me. I believe he was trying to cover his xxx with no one knowing. No wonder people are scared to by a Hyundai. I would never recommend buying a Hyundai period, let alone using this service department. I had at least 5 different employees help me from start to finish and each one was helpful and kind. AutoNation was recommended to me after an unpleasant experience at a different Hyundai dealership.
