To be honest if i could just rate the General Manager Richard, I would give him negative starts. To make long a very very long story semi short, I purchased my first car ever at 27 years old. I did a lot of research and decided to get the 2022 Honda Civic EX. Initially (when i did the test drive) the car had a scratch along the top of the trunk. They guaranteed they would fix it and return the vehicle to me. The next day (Friday) I received my car at 4:30pm. Within 24 hours the dashboard lit up like the 4th of july. I took it in to the services department that Saturday at 1:00pm. After waiting around 2 hours (with no one approaching me to give me updates or anything) the service worker came up to me and asked if anyone has spoken to me. Basically they didn't know what was wrong and I had to wait until Monday when the Engineers were in so they could figure it out. I asked to speak with Richard to hear from him what was going on. He made a very annoying joke about "good thing you have warranty" then made false promises that they would contact me on Monday to bring my car back and that Michelle the CRM would reach out to me. Neither happened. I ended up calling on Monday myself and there were no records of my vehicle even coming in on Saturday and Michelle was not told of the situation. I brought my car in on Tuesday at 7:00am and they "finished" at 2:30pm claiming it was the battery, that it was drained and in a bad condition. They claimed that changing the battery fixed the issue. It didn't, without leaving the shop (they drove the car over and i just sat in the seat) the dashboard was still lit up. 17 days later (in a loaner because they had to keep my car to do testing) I finally got answers and my vehicle back......except they hit it and scratched the bumper. I had to return AGAIN so they can fix the scratch on my bumper. Let's not forget the 150 miles they added to my vehicle. The only saving grace was Mike who worked at the Services department. He kept me constantly updated and answered my calls whenever i reached out for updates. Richard on the other hand never answered, even ignored my calls and passed the phone to Mike, and avoided speaking to me through the whole situation. Long story was not short my bad but honestly this was the worst first car buying experience ever and I will gladly prefer to drive 20 miles to another Honda. A lot more happened in between that showed they only cared about the sale and they do not care at all after you signed that contract. I do want to note that I was not upset about the car having issues (I understand that can happen and with the Car Shortage issues from Covid it did not help the expedite the repairs) I am extremely displeased on how this dealership's General Manager, Richard, handled this. To ignore a customer and make false promises is disgusting. That is what ruined this situation for me. If Richard was gone i'd be happy to return. Please be aware. The dealership was very inviting and the staff members were most friendly. We were especially pleased to see COVID protocols in place. He did not pressure us and answered all of our questions with with patience and the utmost knowledge. Jacques Malfi, the CFS director, was also extremely cordial and helpful with our purchase and transfer of our funds. The only suggestion would be to streamline the paperwork of purchasing a new vehicle. This last step took several hours. More
