My buying experience here at AutoNation went as expected and I got the auto I wanted. I was disappointed with the repair department though. Was not the experience I expected. and I got the auto I wanted. I was disappointed with the repair department though. Was not the experience I expected. More
Called Parts dept for starter and guy quoted me the price for remanufactured part w/c was what I needed to save money. Asked if they also do the install and transferred me to Service dept. Agent told me to b for remanufactured part w/c was what I needed to save money. Asked if they also do the install and transferred me to Service dept. Agent told me to bring the car for same day service. Dropped off car and told service advisor (SA) that I just needed starter replacement but told me tech would run diagnostics and I told him I needed the car that day. SA jacked up the price of part quoted by Parts guy. Insisted quoted price must be honored but SA didn’t offer core charge refund and told me quoted price already included core refund which was a lie. I could have bailed out but they dropped me off at my house so just agreed with unfair pricing as I also needed the car. Service was not completed that day as promised. Labor charge was also exorbitant, almost $500 for 2 hr. job. Bought multiple cars from this dealership and will never buy from them again because of SA treating loyal cx like me unfairly. More
Mixed feelings about Roseville AutoNation. .... Bought a 2015 Jeep Patriot from them. Several issues didn't show up on the test drive that but became apparent through every day driving. Very lo .... Bought a 2015 Jeep Patriot from them. Several issues didn't show up on the test drive that but became apparent through every day driving. Very loud squealing brakes after 10-15 minutes of driving, engine clunking/shuddering at certain speeds and road conditions,. windshield hard to see through when driving into a setting sun, clicking sound any time the ac/heat settings are changed. Samantha & Conner in the AutoNation/Honda Service Dept got the brakes and engine issues fixed at no cost to me. (New rotors & pads for the brakes and new plugs /plug wires for the engine. Nothing done on the windshield and ac/heat diverter issue.) As much as I appreciate the help from Samantha & Conner - the car should not have made it through the safety inspection with bad breaks and engine misses so bad the car would lurch and hesitate at times. The windshield should have been cleaned of extreme mineral deposits by their detailing team as that's actually a safety issue in certain road conditions. And even though the ac/heat diverter issue could be considered a safety issue as well (if you can't direct air to defrost the windshield during cold months...) I can live wit that and get it fixed. But this car should not have been put on the sales lot in the condition it was in. My rental car cost me $400 plus time off work. Would I buy another car from them? Maybe - but I'd look at the car's condition much closer and have rental coverage included in the contract. And yes - it was a used car. But any car sold by AutoNation has their reputation attached to it. In this case I think their reputation was somewhat tarnished. More
