Until this week I had no complaints after thirty years of service and purchases. this week the clutch on my car had to be replaced. Until the clutch failed suddenly the car was smoothly operating. when I p service and purchases. this week the clutch on my car had to be replaced. Until the clutch failed suddenly the car was smoothly operating. when I picked up the car today, the clutch immediately was different in a troubling way. the car jerked as though taking flight when I proceeded forward and the car vibrated and shook. The car behaved like this all the way home and there was a very strong odor of burned out clutch persisting for hours. the clutch pedal was too lax going all the way to the floor. The dealership is not returning my calls. I have driven stick shifts for 32 years and personally only burned out one clutch, so it is unlikely that I drove incorrectly. the car has been well maintained up to now. when the service dept called to ask me to pick up the car they informed me that one motor mount attachment was loose and the car was vibrating. That may be correct but that was definitely not happening prior to the service call. This car of 17 years is suddenly a stranger in terms of performance despite doing everything they have advised me to do up to now. More
