Feels like forever ago because of Coronavirus, but my husband and I bought an odyssey van at the end of January. Most of the people were nice, but that is where the positives end. We had a vehicle transferred in, and were told many different things about the status of that when we would call. We were doing a loan through our bank, and it took almost three days to get the paperwork to them, including sending paperwork with the wrong vin number. When we arrived they prepped the wrong van and had to quickly get ours ready. We had to do all our paperwork twice because of errors and was at the dealership till 11:15 PM. But all that pales in comparison to our actual buying experience where the paperwork was filled out incorrectly and they requested our down payment ($25k) from our bank and also took a check from us for the same amount. Both requests for money happened to hit our account at the same time and we ended up majorly overdrawn and unable to access any money for several days. It was a nightmare!!!! All the auto withdrawals we have set up during that time were denied and we were charged fees on both ends. We had hundreds of dollars in fee and 3 straight days on the phone by the time we resolved this. Despite this HUGE accounting error that the dealership admitted to, NOT ONE THING was done to rectify this with us. We were able to get some, but not all of the fees reversed. I called the dealership and asked to speak to the GM multiple times and he never called back. I also emailed multiple times and those were ignored as well. I can’t recommend more that you RUN AWAY from this dealership!!!!! It’s not worth the hassle!! More

Offer made and accepted by a salesperson in writing is an iron clad contract. Bad etiquette, bad professionalism and just plan bad business. I will make sure I let everyone know that this place doesn't honor its agreements and their word means nothing. More

The wire was sent from my account and the seller Mr. Leo Shabykin stated that because the money was coming from my account it would have to be under my name, I had no problem with that. He then stated that the plates would be sent to my address, again no problem. What he never mentioned to me is that the car was going to have California plates when he knew that the car was meant to stay in Chicago. Now, the vehicle was paid for on December 10th, the car was given to my dad 18 days later. That was a bummer, but now to my surprise, there’s no plates or registration, Mr. Shabykin told me that California DMV is not giving me the plates or title because they need a smog test. Now, the vehicle is not in California and he knew that the vehicle was never intended to be in California. I went to the dmv in California and they stated that the car is not even registered in California. It feels like a scam at this point. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Where is the title for the vehicle that I bought? It has to have an Illinois title that I can use to register the car and transfer to my dad. They don’t want to help me. I have tried to contact the finance manager Mr. Ben Kippen and as of today he has not returned my calls or replied to email. They were so eager to get my wired money but now the vehicle is parked because we don’t have plates or even the registration to move the vehicle. Update: I received a call from Ben kippen on feb 19th right after I posted this the first time and he stated that he was going to fix this issue IF I removed this post immediately which I did. As of April 22nd there’s no sign of plates or title. He doesn’t answer my calls or emails. I called him 21 times on the week of April 1st and he never answered until I said that I was going to contact the Illinois Attorney General. That’s when he answered saying that “he was not the owner of Chicago or the owner of the title company” which to me is just a sad answer. I feel discriminated at this point. I have called more than 50 times. He has answered 3 times saying the same “we are close to have your dad sign”....nothing has happened since then. We have a car parked in a lot that we had to rent because we can move the car. My disabled dad has to take the train or walk and he is VERY vulnerable to the COVID19 because of his transplant and rejection medicines. I explained to Mr. Kippen that he needs this car to get his necessities and he really doesn’t care. The last email that he replied to was on April 1st saying that because it was the end of the month they couldn’t transfer the papers....that was the last email. Nothing else. Please help!! We only want what we already paid for. More

Terrible experience with Edgar Melgoza Alvarado I've taken my Accord here for service many times. I am on the market to purchase a new car currently and I was treated like trash by Edgar. The car was listed for a certain price on the website and they were lying and making things up saying it's a mistake and wouldn't give it to me. I was told I would get a call back for a follow up on the actual price, edgar never called me so I called and left emails but he didn't respond. When I went into the dealership for second time, I asked why he wasn't replying to me and answering me, he responded saying "What do you want me to do?" I think as a professional you would answer the call and answer any call the buyer has. He was very rude to me and my family. He was giving attiude to us and didn't care about sales. I felt like they don't care about customer service and selling cars. I would never go back to this dealership ever and I would not recommend it to anyone. All the other reviews are 100% right about them. I've lost my interest in Honda as well after this experience. I am going somewhere else that treats me in a better way and the respect I should get. More

Sleazy - tried to sell us a car with a lien on it Test drove a used Honda Fit, liked it and went to pay for it. Stephan the finance guy puts two Power of attorney forms in front of us and says to sign them, that "they're just like a title". Huh? The first line on the forms said something like WARNING, form to be used only for lost title or lienholder. He said they needed two copies in case the state of Illinois lost one. Red flags galore. We asked to see the title - oh, he replied, it must be at the headquarter office, they don't have it here. Huh??? He leaves and brings in some manager and when we ask if there is a lien on the car he eventually admits there is one. We ask why that was not disclosed and he actually said "well you didn't ask." I had a check in hand, got up and left. The manager followed me out to the parking lot trying over and over to get me back in. No way. Beware these scammers!!! More

I bought a used Honda Element from them and was told that they had to take care of the getting the license plate and registration from them since I was out of state. Well first of all once the the temporary plate expired, I still had received my new plate so couldn't drive the car for several weeks until they emailed me a letter to drive around with until I got it. I spent weeks on the phone trying to find out what was going on----MOSTLY NO ANSWER!!! Then I was told they had a new phone system and having problems with it. WORST OF ALL I WAS CHARGED $839.31 FOR THE LICENSE AND TITLE WORK!!!!!! When I questioned the amount because I knew that it was WAY WAY TOO HIGH I was told that if it was less I would get a refund. Well I got my plates and found out that the charge was only $220.04 and have been trying to get this straightened out for several weeks. Again, mostly no answer at the dealership, but still no resolution. BAD BAD PEOPLE More
