BEWARE: Not a reputable dealship. Once you leave the dealership they ignor any calls or emails where you may have issues. Beware especially of used Vehicles. They claim they are thoroughly inspected bef dealership they ignor any calls or emails where you may have issues. Beware especially of used Vehicles. They claim they are thoroughly inspected before sale. Which is a farce. I had several issues with a used Honda CRV, and am unable to get a response regarding them. Their philosophy is, ignor a problem long enough, and hopefully it will go away. More

I bought a brand new 2020 car, they forgot to put in the wheel lock so i had to take it back the next day. When I got my car back, they put a dent in my car. I requested multiple times to replace my car, as wheel lock so i had to take it back the next day. When I got my car back, they put a dent in my car. I requested multiple times to replace my car, as they have damage my <24 hr brand new car, but they were only willing to fix it. I agreed, but when I got my car back, the car was in worse condition with poor paint jobs, new scratches and damages. They agreed to redo the repair and when I got the car back for the third times, there was a new scratch. Every time I got my car back from their care, new damages have come about. The general manager Preston has ignored my contacts and passed me off to managers under him and Craig had the worst customer service attitude by talking over me, interrupting my sentences, and being very dismissive. I highly recommend not trusting their service at this particular Honda. More
I’ll give one star because the sales experience was fine, but I went through Costco so there wasn’t really any underhanded things they could have done. Brought the car in for its first oil change at 3000 mi but I went through Costco so there wasn’t really any underhanded things they could have done. Brought the car in for its first oil change at 3000 miles five hours later got the car back. At 4500 miles the maintenance minder went off, I checked the oil, filthy, about 4500 miles filthy. Took to private mechanic who concurred that the oil had not been changed 1500 miles before. No one at the dealer will return an email or a phone call. Honda Corp is hands off, you have to go after the dealer. Avoid this dealer, not trustworthy. If you bring the car for service they collect your money and don’t do the work. More
Worst experience I’ve ever had and dealt with in my life at Honda near O hare in Des Plains. I have a brand new car Honda Civic LX 2018, not even 10,000 miles on it, I have five free services to have since at Honda near O hare in Des Plains. I have a brand new car Honda Civic LX 2018, not even 10,000 miles on it, I have five free services to have since I bought a new car. I went last year to get a service and oil change I had no problem, was for free as they mentioned in my contract since I have five, only waited for an hour, easy peasy. I came early morning yesterday at 9am and mentioned to get only an oil change and to have my free service done, my car only needed maintenance B to be repaired, my mother picked me up because I have 7 months pregnant and they said it would take about over 2 hours. Through out the day it’s been almost five hours sis not hear anything from them. I tried calling 20 times to find out when my car can be picked up and to be finished up no answer at all, very frustrating. The customer service lady said it’s just best to come and have someone give you a ride and bring you here and find out yourself, so ridiculous. So I came back five hours later and the guy at the service desk that they added all these ridiculous charges to my vehicle that I DID NOT ASK FOR! Everything all together was $480! I don’t even have 10,000 miles on my car, super rude, stealing money away from me, applied to do things without my permission, very upsetting and they took advantage of me. My mom dropped my off and she came with me and yelled at the guy for doing that and he felt bad and gave me a 15% discount but still the total was $350, my free maintenance of oil change was suppose to be for FREE! Got screwed over and never ever coming back here again. Such a awful experience, no communication at all. So disappointing.....!!!! So much for Honda being truthful More
They try to get over on the customer, poor customer service When my wife and I arrived around 1:30pm on Wednesday, July 29th, we were greeted by Darrio, our salesman. When we came in we already knew what we wa When my wife and I arrived around 1:30pm on Wednesday, July 29th, we were greeted by Darrio, our salesman. When we came in we already knew what we wanted to see, the 2017 Honda Accord. Darrio brought the car out which was dirty as it was sitting at the dealership for a while according to the Carfax. The test drive went well and we wanted to look at the financing. We filled out the credit application, we negotiated a term that we were happy with and this is when things started going bad. Once we were approved they checked on us frequently on getting the down payment as we waited for clearance for the large amount to clear our bank debit card. Once they got our deposit we waited for another 5 hours to see the financing person. As they kept telling us they will be right with you as more time passed. I was told by the financing person they fired the other financing person the day prior and that is why they were backed up. During this 5 hour wait, I went out to his car and saw our salesperson, Darrio talking to who appeared to be a technician. They were looking and pointing at the passenger side of the car. At the time we thought nothing of it but later we find out why. Later after this Darrio mentions multiple times, since the car is used we should get it waxed and detailed. Finally, after going through financing we leave the dealership at 8:45pm it is dark and raining. We have not seen the car since the test drive. The car is parked outside and we do one more walk around only to discover a large hole in driver side taillight. This hole was not there prior to the test drive. We go back inside to tell Darrio and he almost acts like it was there before. But they agree to fix it; he says they will take care of us. He said call service and they will set everything up. He followed up with that he was off the next day but text him if we needed anything. The next morning, in daylight, I discover scratches on the passenger side door that was covered up poorly with touchup paint. I then texted Darrio to bring it to his attention. He said there is nothing they can do about it but he can get us some touch-up paint from service. We declined and request if we could get 2 free oil changes or a free detail as we felt there was obvious deception to try and hide the scratches. He replies he will talk to his service manager. This same day we schedule a service appointment for Friday morning, we are told come in and they will change it. We arrive Friday morning only to find out the part was not there and we drove 1.5 hour round trip for nothing. They inform us we can come back Saturday; however, we could not because we were in town for my mother-in-law's funeral, which was Sat. At this point, Darrio brings in his sales manager to speak with us who became very rude and condensing. We ask his about the free oil changes or detail at the Autonation in White Bear Lake, MN (still 1 hour from where we live). He says we can't do that, I can't ask another Autonation to do that. We insist on the touchup paint and that the dealership may have done it to conceal the scratches. He replies with you don't know that I could have taken the lease in like that. I have plenty of new cars right over there. He gave the impression that if we wanted a car in perfect condition we should have bought new. He then first offer to have the Autonation in White Bear do the taillight for us (even though he previously stated he couldn't have another Autonation do work for him). Then he says well come in tomorrow (Sat) and we will take care of you. To which we reply that is the funeral. His tone then changes and he offers to give us a loaner. We decline. Then he says Darrio will take care of this, with him standing there. We will contact you as soon as we get the part. Sat comes we call in the early afternoon only to find the part is already there, no contact from Darrio and the dealership. We make the appointment for Monday, which delayed our drive back home to MN. On Wed Darrio text us to see if we got the light fixed. This is disappointing that we were treated that way. In all likeliness, if we drove off with the broken taillight it would have never been fixed. We feel very much deceived by the dealership. We don't want to make it racial but as we are both black one cannot help but wonder. More
WOW! Where do I even begin. AutoNation Honda O'Hare, you all made my FIRST car buying experience amazing. There are so many words that I could say. I 100% am so happy I decided one Tuesday evening to stop o all made my FIRST car buying experience amazing. There are so many words that I could say. I 100% am so happy I decided one Tuesday evening to stop on by and see a Honda Fit. When we first arrived, we were greeted with "Hellos!" The show room was super clean, professional and you could tell people were excited to be there. We waited at a table for a very short time and were greeted by one of the most amazing person I have ever met. MARY! Mary is a GEM! I seriously can't even find words to describe how truly blessed I am to have met Mary. She was warm, kind and greeted us as if we were family! She was not a pushy salesperson who just wanted to sell me a car. I have been to other dealerships where they don't get the chance to get to know you or what you want to accomplish when you are there. SHE did. Mary went above and beyond anything I have experienced in my life. I have worked in customer service for 12 years and the level of professionalism, caring and truly listening was incredible. We all took a test drive in a 2020 Honda Fit. It was amazing. Mary was not pushing any sales at any time. She was creating a genuine friendship. She took the time that Tuesday evening to look at the car, answer many questions, options for pay plans etc. She did not rush us at ANY point. We made an appointment to come back on Friday. I was so excited for Friday! I asked her if we could take a look at one of the used Honda Fits. We took a look and I really felt that the new car I had test drove on the previous Tuesday evening was for sure mine. Done and done I bought my first car which was a BIG thing and a BIG goal for me to accomplish. I bought a new 2020 Honda Fit and I have been loving it since then. It's not just a car to me, it was bought with the biggest friendships I left with from Honda AutoNation. Nick, in financing, did an excellent job with speaking with me about all of the different coverage options and took the time to go into detail. He made sure that I had all of my questions answered. He was professional and had a personality of caring and wanting to help. At the end of the day, the atmosphere and the kindness of everyone made me want to stay!! The day of buying your car is long but it didn't feel like it at all. The level of customer service here is incredible. I will be taking this to the highest possible rank at corporate. Honda AutoNation is amazing. Mary, Nick and everyone at Honda AutoNation, THANK YOU for all you have done! I will recommend you all to everyone I know interested in purchasing their next vehicle. You have a customer for life here! :) More
