Towards the end of our negotiations with the sales representative and the manager, we noticed that they changed the VIN number at the top of the Sales Menu printout. This meant that they switched out the actual car we were negotiating. This second car had more mileage than the first car (24 miles vs. 9 miles). They did not mention anything about this switch until we asked them about it. They admitted that it’s a different car, but same model and color. We said ok and proceeded with the rest of the sale since it wasn’t a big difference in the mileage. When everything was finalized and we got the car, it had 170 miles on it instead of 24 miles like it said on the paper. At the end of the day, we’re happy with the deal we got through negotiating, but I don’t like that they were not upfront and honest with the change of the vehicle they were selling to us. More
