AutoNation Honda East Las Vegas

Desert Honda has been around for along time. When we first moved to Las Vegas, the only dealership around really was this in the East side of town. I bought 3 Honda's from them. Back in 1999, our sales guy was SHAH AMIR, he sold us our first brand new 1999 Honda Civic, a year later I traded it for a 2000 Honda Accord BOTH BRAND NEW! I have always been happy with this dealership, I have had service done here in the past, bought some accessories and everything installed here and always a pleasure. This was 12 years ago! and how time flies.....Fast forward to 2012, I go to United Nissan and they tried to rip us off with the price, although there sales and finance people were awesome, they were just way too greedy with the prices on top of having the worse customer service who did not know how to return my deposit back into my card, instead re-drafted a 2nd deposit amount I never authorized $2500. Getting my money back was a hassle and their customer service reps are incompetent. I go to Honda West, my sales guy; Chris Arrocena was awesome but their financing department were crooks. He showed me a Honda Accord with 38k miles on it, certified. We test drove it, we liked it and it was time to draw up some numbers. They told me the car was $15,999 and would drop price to $14k. I agreed to all the numbers and when it was time to finalize it, the finance managers added extended warranty that we did not need extra $2000!! when it is a certified Honda with factory warranty still up to 100k, I told Chris to remove it; but his finance manager said NO, the extended warranty was mandatory! Since when? this is not our 1st rodeo! We have had 9 paid off cars in our lifetime and extended warranty has always been an options. I agreed to no more than $2500 deposit, he came back with the price of the car with title and everything came out to extra $18k because of the extended warranty and that did not include our deposit. So we leave. The next day I get a text message from Chris telling us that if we wanted to get into that car, we need to put a total of $5500 deposit, will not take out extended warranty. I tell him they are nutts, thats too much. He comes back and tells me they SOLD the car! really? He said Volvo next door shares used cars with Honda West! That was more a blessing for us, glad they sold it. The Finance Managers are clearly crooks and I will never ever buy a car form Honda WEST!! Chris Arrocena was the only decent person that worked there and was very nice and understandable. Honda west wasted my time for 2-3 days! The same day on 7/12/2012, I remember the old Desert Honda at East Sahara so I make a call I bought my 1st (2) BRAND NEW HONDAS. I spoke to Kenny Weaver who then told me to come down tomorrow as they are closing at 8pm. I make an appointment to see him at 3pm, the minute I got there (3:00pm) I explained my situation to Kenny Weaver, what bank approved us already and what I expect to put down and nothing more, no extended warranty. Did my application, we walk around the lot he already had the Honda Accord I wanted waiting for me before I even got there, it was a 2009 Honda Accord CERTIFIED, 1 owner, clean bill of sale, clean carfax for $15,999 36k miles so it is actually lower than what Honda West was trying to sell me! I test drove it, everything was great. The finance manager, Allan sees me right away about 30 minutes later, Kenny sends the car off to get it washed. When I signed the contract no extended warranty with my 2500 deposit, the car out the door with tax and title INCLUDED came out to $15,292!!! APPROVED THE SAME DAY!!! That was last Thursday! I get a welcome call from the bank 2 days ago, and today my green slip is ready for pick up! No haggle, No Pressure, BEST price in town. They are also giving me a free oil change, and discount for my window tint...... come to find out after 12 years that I stepped foot at Desert Honda, SHAH AMIR my old sales rep still works there. When I pick up my green slip tomorrow, I plan to say hello to him. I was in and out of DESERT HONDA in less than 1 hour!!!! How could I have forgotten about this Desert Honda??? I have had the best experience with this place for years.... my 2009 Honda Accord would be my 3rd HONDA purchased from Desert Honda and I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. By the way, my credit was shot and they got me approved by a bank immediately. Thanks Kenny Weaver and Allan!!! See you guys next year when I trade up :-) More

Scott was friendly, and professional. He also explained all the tech items and encouraged me to call or come back if I had any questions. I have beem buying cars for 50 years and this was the least stress all the tech items and encouraged me to call or come back if I had any questions.
