The review is for the Service Department. The only reason why it's a 2 star review and not lower is because of the overall good experience I have had in the past. However, my most recent vi The only reason why it's a 2 star review and not lower is because of the overall good experience I have had in the past. However, my most recent visit was definitely a 1 star experience. I took my car for maintenance and for the dealership to check out a noise my car was making. Dropped my car off a little before 8 am and by 9 am the maintenance was completed. The technician sent me a video and stated that the maintenance was done, that he recommended the engine air filter be replaced and that he would take my car for a test drive to see if he could recreate the sound my car was making. Around 9:30 am, I noticed that my car was parked in the area where cars are parked when they are done with the service. I didn't go ask about the status of my car because I had been told my wait would be about 5 hours. I figured the technician hadn't had the chance to drive the car yet and that the advisor would come talk to me when he had an update, like they normally do. After 2 hours, I went to go talk to the advisor and it turns out my car had been ready this entire time. The excuse the advisor gave me was that "it was one of those days". I understand maybe a 15 to 20 minute delay to provide me with an update, but 2 hours is unacceptable. The advisor also explained that the technician was able to replicate the sound and that the microphone was causing the issue. The labor alone would cost $1,000 so I declined the service. The advisor explained that I was told there was about a $200 diagnostics charge if I didn't repair the car. So after not updating me for 2 hours, he still expected me to pay the diagnostics charge. Also, the advisor did not remind me that the engine air filter needed replacement. I didn't notice the work hadn't been done until I got home and reviewed my paperwork, which means that now I need to make another trip to the dealership to get the service done. And on top of that, one of the tire pressure caps is missing. Going forward, I will make sure I am not assigned the same advisor. Worst experience I have had at AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa. More

Was able to schedule my oil change easily online and when I arrived they promptly got the process going. I have an Costco membership and appreciate the partnership that provides a discount on maintenance service. Everyone I encountered at the service department was friendly and professional. They did the multi-point inspection on my car and recommended a few service items (air filters and an alignment) but I did not feel pressured to schedule right away which has been the case with previous vehicles at other mechanics. Overall, I will continue to use the dealership for service because I feel confident in the work being done and that I will be treated fairly. More
