I dropped off my car for a standard oil change. Jason, service advisor, called me a few hours later to tell me I needed a brake service. He stated that I had 0.1 mm of wear left on the brake pads. He stated that they were dangerously low and was very persistent in having me authorize the service. I declined since I didn't have the money. When I picked up the car, I noticed that I had over 4.0 mm remaining and they did not need to be replaced. These brakes would have lasted for another few years. I don't mind paying for repairs that are needed. I also don't mind paying for preventive maintenance. But I have a problem with someone lying and trying to cheat me for a service that isn't required. I appreciated the fact that their quote listed exactly the car they were quoting, so I did not have to be concerned that they would spring a surprise on me once I got to the dealership- like telling me they did not know I wanted an automatic transmission... this happened to me at a different dealership. The salesperson was friendly and knowledgable. He explained the car's features in detail, but did not push too much information at me. He answered all my questions and showed me a picture of his dog when I shoed him a picture of mine. The general manager came over to chat about hockey while we waited a few minutes for the finance person. In finance, everything was explained clearly. She did not do any high pressured selling as I have experienced at a dealership in the past. She was also friendly and informative. I had a great experience and I would highly recommend this dealership. More
