Everyone was nice except for the service representative that I was assigned to. I just felt like he was not very helpful & HAD to get through the day. AutoNation is where I bought my 23 civic Si with no hassle and little haggle as well. I set a price and they worked with me very well. Couple months down the line, they had a service pass where service hassle and little haggle as well. I set a price and they worked with me very well. Couple months down the line, they had a service pass where service would be free. Lidio was awesome and explained and answered all my questions! As a new customer of AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa, I have had a few outstanding experiences working with both the sales and service teams. They were professional, honest and direct, which is what I look for had a few outstanding experiences working with both the sales and service teams. They were professional, honest and direct, which is what I look for in a car dealership. Here’s my story. Day 1: While having my 2013 Honda diagnosed and serviced, I walked over to the sales department to kill some time. Long story, short… At the end of the day I drove home in a new 2023 Honda. As one of two remaining Accords for that model year (everything else was 2024), I got a very good price. Day 2: Unfortunately, there was a problem with the driver assistance technology warning lights flashing on. A web search revealed that the problem was shared by some other Honda owners. It was often difficult to diagnose. Sometimes it went away. Sometimes it didn’t. Day 3: The problem was quickly diagnosed but supply chain shortages meant a long wait for the repair. The sales department followed up and offered a direct, one-for-one swap with an identical model - expect it would be a 2024, which was the latest model year. Of course I took the offer. To me, that was truly commendable and a statement on the high quality of support that the service and sales teams provide their customers. Naz Moradshahi Javid helped with the purchase of the 2023 model, and Habib Abdulkarim helped with the 2024 model. Both of these people were extraordinarily helpful and very pleasant to work with. (Not at all the ’pushy’ sales person type.) For both cars, Austin Grande helped with all the purchase and financial options as well as assembling the associated paperwork. Cristhian Plascencia and Michael (didn’t get his last name) helped me in the service department and they were great to work with. Thanks to those people who helped me directly and thanks to AutoNation Honda Costa Mesa! P.S. I am left with one question that, if someone couldn’t answer, I would greatly appreciate. I also bought the Vehicle Protection Plan that AutoNation offers. The terms were better than Honda’s Extended Care Plan. I trust the reputation of AutoNation. But I am unable to find the name of the specific company that provides this plan. This leaves me somewhat uncomfortable. I do know that the AutoNation Protection Plan is administrated by Consumer Program Administrators, Inc. But it’s also difficult to find factual information on this company as well through a web search. If anyone can provide additional information on this plan and its provider/administrator, I’d appreciate it. More
Honda staff was there waiting for me when I dropped off my car. They sent me a text about what they found during their inspection and let me decide what work I wanted completed.
