On February 8, 2022, I took my dad‘s 2019 Honda pilot to AutoNation Honda Clearwater for a hood latch recall. We originally purchased the pilot new from AutoNation in 2019. I was greeted by Hanieh, who s to AutoNation Honda Clearwater for a hood latch recall. We originally purchased the pilot new from AutoNation in 2019. I was greeted by Hanieh, who stated that it would take 45 minutes. I waited outside for an hour and a half as the waiting room was full during a time where Covid was still a concern. Having not heard from anyone, I decided to walk around the building as there was no one anywhere around to ask. In the meantime, it had been raining hard and the rain became a downpour. When I got to the other side of the building, holding my umbrella, there was my dad‘s 2019 pilot outside in the pouring rain with all 4 windows down. I couldn’t even raise the windows because AutoNation have the keys. I tracked down Hanieh immediately and told her that I was not happy and that I just wanted to get out of there asap. She retrieved the pilot and drove it around. The carpet was absolutely soaked, everything inside was wet and water was pulled inside the recesses of the door locks. Hanieh did make an effort to wipe down the dashboard and doors but who knows what the long term damage is with water penetrating electronic circuitry. I asked Hanieh how she would feel if this was her fathers relatively new Honda Pilot and she said that she wouldn’t be happy but then went on to say how busy the mechanics were which was not an acceptable reason. The drive home was horrible and dangerous as the windows were so fogged up from the water that the defogger was ineffective and I had to pull over several times. I never received any follow up correspondence or an apology from AutoNation Clearwater and needless to say I will never do business with them ever again. More
