My Wife brought her 2006 Accord in for an oil change. In the process, the Service tech. left the key in the "on" position, with the car sitting for 2 hours, thus draining the battery. THen, the Service tech the process, the Service tech. left the key in the "on" position, with the car sitting for 2 hours, thus draining the battery. THen, the Service tech tried to sell my Wife a new battery claiming the one in the car was defective, though it was only a few months old. The battery was tested at another location and found to be in good shape. Update 11-11-2010: After talking with the Service manager of the delaership, who is very apologetic, I was informed changes in procedure have been made assuring this wont happen again. My Wife and I have discussed this, and have decided to continue dealing with them for service. More

I bought my car from Honda of Mesa, which morphed into San Tan Honda. I have owned 5 Hondas. Up until the last couple of visits, I have been very happy with the service. The waiting area is comfortable, and they'll drive you home and back, or wherever. However, the last few visits seem to be an oil change and, oh by the way, you need this and that done. Next time, oil change, and you need these three other things done. And the prices quoted are not competitive. I feel the dealership is resting on its laurels and wants to make more money out of me with service, rather than have my continuing loyalty. I know from personal experience that Hondas go a long time without major service needs, so I'm quite frustrated with San Tan's gambit. I'm starting to look and ask around for an independent shop, since, for instance, paying $400 for a simple brake job is excessive, especially in these economic times. Nice people, good work, but tread carefully when making decisions. More

I recently had to make an appointment with SanTan Honda Superstore for an unexpected repair. The part that was needed for the repair was "special order" and would take 3-5 business days to arrive. My service consultant, Tad, kept me looped in and was immediately in touch to make the appointment upon the part's arrival. I was told that due to the fact my appointment was on a Saturday, I needed to plan on my car being at the dealership all day. Based on the several day's "head's up",I was able to plan accordingly. Tad also provided me not only an estimate of what the parts would cost, but provided me an estimate that included taxes and labor. Again, though an estimate, this allowed me to prepare my finances. The check-in process was easy and despite the early hour, the consultants were friendly and all ready to start their day. While the estimate that I signed-off on at the drop-off was lower than the original estimate, I took that to me that it was a lucky day. My car was ready within a couple of hours, clearly faster than anticipated. When going over the final bill, I realized that it was quite a bit higher than the original estimate and what I had signed off in the morning. Now, at other places I have experienced what seems to be a typical, "sorry, but that's the cost". Dustin, who was my service consultant for my appointment, took several minutes to go over the invoice and review the costs. Due to the fact that the estimate in the morning had in fact been incorrect, Dustin went ahead and adjusted the invoice for me, all the time apologizing profusely. The personal approach that he took with reviewing my invoice and the kindness with which I was treated is yet another example of a long list of examples of the level of customer service and professionalism at this dealership. My service advisor, John Labedz, is a pleasure to deal with--he makes sure that every visit is a positive experience. The service department, waiting area, and especially the rest rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I was given a tour of the service area and was amazed at the cleanliness of that area--it was absolutely 'spic and span'. I have had nothing but good experiences at San Tan Honda, from the vehicle purchase thru all the service visits. I am not just a Honda fan, but also a San Tan Honda fan. More
I just took my Pilot in for a Power Steering pump issue that had been an ongoing ordeal. Although the Honda Manufacturer had already replaced it twice within a one year span, it was going out for the 3rd t that had been an ongoing ordeal. Although the Honda Manufacturer had already replaced it twice within a one year span, it was going out for the 3rd time. Jered went to bat to the Manufacturer many times to make the situation right. After multiple phone calls to many different entities (on the National level), trying to figure out the reason for the failing pump, he was able to include the GM of San Tan, and was able to fix my vehicle, fully and correctly at no charge to me. He was personally test driving my vehicle WITH me, was in close contact with me, and worked well past his working hours to make sure I was being taken care of. He was by far the best representative I have ever dealt with first hand, and I can guarantee that I WILL be taking my vehicle there for the continued maintenance. The GM Monty Yocum, was very friendly and involved in my case as well to make sure I was satisfied. Thank you San Tan Honda for upholding your reputation of costumer service and satisfaction. I never thought working with a dealership would be such a pleasure. Keep up the good work!! More
I have had multiple problems with my car in the last several months. Jorge has gone above and beyond any customer service I have ever had. We have had to have our car towed to the dealer twice. The first time Jorge waited after hours for us and the second, he had the shuttle service which was done for the day come and pick us up. We have four small children and they didn't want us to have to sit out in the Arizona heat. Jorge is very honest and always looking out for our best interests. He has always given us the best rates, which has been extremely helpful with the amount of work we have had to put into our car. They have even helped us with a rental car for free a few times due to the amount of time we have been without a car.
