Honda has known the wire harness that connects the tailgate mounted backup camera to the 2017-19 HONDA RIDGELINE chassis is prone to breaking from repeated opening and closing of the tailgate for seve tailgate mounted backup camera to the 2017-19 HONDA RIDGELINE chassis is prone to breaking from repeated opening and closing of the tailgate for several years now. At first Honda required that you bring the truck to the dealership AFTER the camera failed, before the dealer could order a new wire harness and schedule the second visit for the repair. Thankfully Honda is treating the design flaw as a proper recall and repairing all 2017-2019 Ridgelines without having to wait for complete camera failure and make two trips to the dealer. My backup camera has been failing intermittently and the wire harness is visibly cracked so as soon as I found out about the new repair policy I called AutoNation385 and scheduled an 8am appointment. The service advisor offered to rent me a car since I live an hour away. I declined the rental and waited on the repair. The service advisor said they would do their best to get the truck repaired ASAP. I was very pleased that they were able to complete the repair in 3.5hrs, saving me the cost of a rental car and having to make the 60-mile journey to the dealership multiple times. More

On August 19th, I contacted this dealership to inquire about the availability of a vehicle on their website. Spoke with "Tim" and he stated that it was available and he would get me a quote as soon as a m about the availability of a vehicle on their website. I called back and spoke with Tim again. He stated that it was very busy in the showroom and "they need to focus on the customers that made the effort to come into the showroom". After his rude & dismissive comment, I should have just moved on. Instead, I tried using the dealership's on-line chat app and chatted with Brittany R about the vehicle I was interested in. After a lengthy chat, she stated that someone from their eCommerce department would be in contact with me. I never received anything from Tim and never heard from the eCommerce department. I was able to locate the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring that I was wanting at a dealership in Tulsa, OK and purchased it last week. More
