The sales guy was great. We like the vehicle we got for our daughter. But when the time comes for the paperwork, that's when things get shady. They lump tax etc into the final price in the paperwork. It wa our daughter. But when the time comes for the paperwork, that's when things get shady. They lump tax etc into the final price in the paperwork. It wasn't until I got the title that I saw the actual price paid for the car. After I deducted the warranty cost, doc fees, title/reg fees, there was an $800 overcharge. When I contacted them to find out why, I was told that it was an "appearance protection" fee that was applied to the car to protect the interior from spills and stains and the clearcoat from peeling or chipping. This is something we didn't ask for nor agreed to. I have always been loyal to businesses I deal with until I feel they have done me wrong. I doubt I will be doing anymore business with AutoNation since they didn't seem interested in making things right. More
If you would like to be lied to and deceived then look no further, you have found your group of car sales xxxxxxxx. I had a very specific search for a Mustang that was to be given as a gift. I found what I t further, you have found your group of car sales xxxxxxxx. I had a very specific search for a Mustang that was to be given as a gift. I found what I thought I was looking for at this place based on everything I see in the listing. I moved forward and placed a deposit and stopped my search. I am out of state so had someone drive 4 hours to pick it up and when he arrived it was not what was advertised, classic bait and switch. No apologies or discounts just blaming it on a third party who writes their ads. Have a little accountability you dishonest xxx. Don't trust a word they say and I would recommend looking elsewhere unless you don't mind being lied to. More
My least was up for my Ford Edge and Hans Wimmer went above and beyond to make my next purchase go very smoothly. He was patient and communicated quickly. No Help from Front Office after I leased a vehicle After having traded in my 2014 Ford Focus and leased a 2019 Ford Escape, I was the happiest guy in the neighborhood. That is until today (6/24/2020). After having traded in my 2014 Ford Focus and leased a 2019 Ford Escape, I was the happiest guy in the neighborhood. That is until today (6/24/2020). I had received a letter from the BMV, Columbus, about renewing my tag. I was stunned to see that it was for the 2014 Focus. I went to Auto Nation, Westlake, to determine WHY? and WHAT they could do to alleviate this situation. I was treated "coldly" by a young lady who for whatever insane reason opted NOT to wear a mask. I was told it was my problem to fix. At the time of the transaction back in late December, NO ONE told me that I had to take my old license plates from the Focus. No one told me that I had to contact the BMV after Auto Nation secured the new plates for my lease. Bottom line, I am extremely disappointed in how unwilling the dealership was in trying to assist me. When my lease is up, I will be shopping elsewhere. On a positive note, I will say that their Service Department is A#1. Too bad the front office/sales area can't duplicate. More
After I finished with the salesman the finance manager was very high pressure, insisted I needed an Auto Nation warranty on top of the manufacturers warranty that already came with the car. Was very pleased with my overall experience. Hans “Pete” was awesome. He was very personable and didn’t try to push me to get all of the things I could have gone with getting a new vehicle. Certified Pre-Owned Not INSPECTED Around mid January I purchased a "certified pre owned" vehicle at Autonation Ford of Westlake. My sales assiciate was Danny Coffey who did an outstand Around mid January I purchased a "certified pre owned" vehicle at Autonation Ford of Westlake. My sales assiciate was Danny Coffey who did an outstanding job. He always returned all of my calls, found out the anwser to any of my questions, and just cared about any concern I had. He really did a great job and that is why I am leaving Autonation a 2 instead of a 1 star review. The whole purchase process was smooth and I have no complaints, but after getting the vehicle home is when I started to encounter problems. The first problem arose when I noticed something off about the bumper. It honestly wasn't anything major, but I was curious to get it looked at. I took it in and a young lady (I don't recall her name) came out to take pictures. She wrote down my email and verified my phone number. She agreed that she would email me back with what they could do about the bumper asap which was perfect for me because of my work hours. There are some days that I'm not home before they close. However there was radio silence as I never got any response back from them. Did try getting into contact once, but still no response. I had to actually drive up there to get a response from anyone, and I was told they were waiting on me to contact them... even though she agreed to email me all the details and I did try to contact them before coming in. In the end I decided it wasn't worth the trouble to get the small defect on the bumper fixed. The next part is really what I'm upset about. The car had 30,000 miles on it and was considered to be a certified pre-owned car. When you look at the website this is what that means: 172-point Inspection 12-month/12,000-mile comprehensive limited warranty coverage 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty coverage Complimentary 24/7 roadside assistance, vehicle history report and more The car looked brand new and you'd think there would be no issues with it. Every detail of the car should have been inspected. I turned on my AC for my very first time ever since it's winter time here, and it didn't work! I don't think I have even had a car for 2 months and I also haven't used the AC until now. So it seems more than likely that there was never any inspection on this car before it was sold to me. They checked it out and there's apparently a leak or something going on so now they had to order parts and replace things. They did at least give me a loaner car, but if things are already broken this early on I'm not very hopeful for the future of this car. For anyone looking to buy a certified pre-owned car here please make sure you really look into it first. I've learned my lesson the hard way, and I really wish I could just get my old car back and forget I ever made the mistake of going with a Ford. More
After being stranded in Ohio due to an accident while traveling across the country, AutoNation in Westlake treated us like we have been life long customers.
