I am shopping for an EV (Electric Vehicle) and know that Ford is to be bringing out the 2012 Focus with an all electric model (no dino-juice). I stopped in one day after work and spoke with Arron, who was very knowledgeable and patient (I have a lot of questions). He was quick with answers on what he knew and honest about what he didn't. This is largely due to the fact that Ford itself has released no official specs or pricing for the Focus EV as of this writing (July 16th 2011). He took my info and said to come back to give the gas version of the Focus a try. I did, and it is a great little car! As EVs go, there is the Leaf (Ugly, slow, yet inexpensive) the Volt (Slick and feature rich but slow and expensive) the Tesla S (Hot car, fast, yet expensive) the Plug-in Prius (Okay looking, slow and not much of an EV) and very little else. The Focus EV stands to be an exiting mix of EV performance, with the the dynamic steering / breaking system included in the Gas focus, great range of options, fantastic body style, and reasonable price (even though price has not been announced, I am estimating between $7-10K more for EV, then minus $7-10k of tax credits). I don't work for Ford, but boy I am going to buy stock ASAP- this is a hot car that could change the face of EV driving- Sporty, Stylish, fun and reasonably priced! I will DEFIANTLY be back to Power Ford Valencia to try out the Focus EV when it (hopefully) arrives later this year! More
We were at Power Ford on two different days a week ago and ended up buying a 2011 car on the 2nd visit. We are happy with the car we chose. But, on the 2nd visit (not the first visit - the salesman seemed and ended up buying a 2011 car on the 2nd visit. We are happy with the car we chose. But, on the 2nd visit (not the first visit - the salesman seemed pretty low key on that visit, which is why we came back to see him) we felt a bit pressured to buy it THAT DAY - sort of an about face on the part of the salesman. We had actually came in again to have the salesman just do a search for a specific package we wanted. We had also expected the 2011 cars to be discounted more - and the particular car we wanted was not. Also because we had bought 3 other cars from that dealership over the years, we hoped for a more of a discount. After we decided to go ahead and buy a car, we decided to put 1/2 down and finance the other 1/2 of the purchase price. As a result, we had to spend a long time with the finance mgr. It seemed to us that he applied a lot of pressure to make us agree to the extended service contract - he wouldn't take no for an answer, and kept going over his selling points again and again. Finally, because a couple of the service contracts did seem practical - and because it was getting late - we were actually there until about 11 p.m. that night, we agreed to buy 2 of the several service contracts he had presented to us. The 2 salesmen were both nice, friendly, youngish guys, but they seem to both be advocates of the "hard sell". We're not sure if all the employees at Power Ford are that way, since we only dealt with those 2. More

Approach was accommodating and not pushy. Despite some credit issues that were willing to listen and to work with me on a program that I could afford. Our dealing with Howard and Sammy was outrageously good. We are an older couple who don't like to wheel and deal and Howard saw to it that we received a very good price and nice new car within our means. The only....only drawback was whoever in the background that created the individual prices for new only and new plus trade-in, etc., and also when we changed colors...that person did not check his work and increased our costs by at least $100, which fortunately I was able to notice when reading the paperwork. True the gentleman came over and apologized, but the damage was done. It was the only sour moment, because we don't expect mistakes like that and it sort of re-inforces the historic bad image of dealing with car dealers. We had talked to him about 8 weeks prior and he was very helpful and we asked for him when we came in. We are seniors and have purchased many new cars and this was the easiest and least stressful. We were not high pressured which is a complete turnoff. We also delt with Scott and Sammy and they were also a pleasure. More
