We gave the recall service rating a bad star value because we are SO unhappy about the "fix" that happened on the recall. Getting that explanation makes SO much sense as to the situation that happens due to the recall. If someone would have given us the explanation when we picked up the vehicle, I would not have felt it necessary to give a bad review!!!! More
When you buy a vehicle within 24 hours they want you to grade them with praising reviews. My name is Bime Carroll and this is my experience with AutoNation Ford in Memphis, Tennessee. I applied online to Ford motor credit and was approved May 12, 2022. Three weeks later I bought a vehicle from AutoNation Ford dealership. The dealership ran my credit three additional times on June 6, 2022 putting a total of four hard inquiries on my credit report within 30 days. Before doing any paperwork I told the salesman that I was approved through Ford motor credit. The dealership still ran my credit instead of following up on the credit application from Ford motor credit. The salesman told me that he was sorry and that they could write a letter to get those inquiries removed from my credit report. After a month I called Ford motor credit about the inquiries. Ford motor credit told me that the dealership shouldn’t have ran my credit because the application was valid for 30 days. They told me that the dealership is the only one that could fix that problem. Six weeks later (July 16, 2022) after buying the vehicle I return to the dealership because I hadn’t received the letter. The dealership didn’t want to write the letter to the credit agencies. They told me I had to dispute it. This letter would’ve taken only a couple minutes to type up, but they still wouldn’t do it. I called Credit Agency, they told me that the dealership has to write the letter that’s the only way it could be removed. The first act of kindness that AutoNation Ford could’ve done after buying a vehicle from them, they didn’t want to do. This showed me how dishonest the dealership was. I stay 3 1/2 hours from this dealership in another state so they will never service my vehicle but they let me know they didn’t wanna do anything but lie to me to get me in to buy that vehicle. If they can lie about writing a letter to help fix an error that they made and not do it, how can I trust him with servicing a vehicle that drives my family around. Be careful when dealing with this AutoNation Ford dealership. More
