He communicated with me from the very beginning and kept me informed every step of the way. They did such a great job on my car and had it finished sooner than expected. They now have a new customer! Pros: For a dealership, you could argue that they are less shady and more transparent than other dealerships as you are not permitted to negotiate pricing at all. My salesperson, Dain, was friendly. All less shady and more transparent than other dealerships as you are not permitted to negotiate pricing at all. My salesperson, Dain, was friendly. All the guys in service have been friendly so far, and my most recent oil change only took about an hour on a Friday (though the other 4 were a more common 3-6 hours). Cons: Like any dealership, you'll be lucky to get anyone to answer your call or call you back once you've signed over your money to them. When I purchased my car, two of the contracted requirements weren't ready yet and I was told I'd get them within a couple weeks. They were back headrests, which had to be ordered, and the inspection report for my used Hyundai Santa Fe. I never received either of these despite over 10 phone calls and emails to my salesperson, my finance guy (Vic), and several other representatives and supervisors in the 3 months following my purchase. I have followed up by phone and email at least 10 more times in the past year and a half that I have owned my vehicle and because I am not offering money or numbers, not a soul will get back to me. I still have not received either of these items nor any communication or response regarding them. It requires taking off work and forcing several agents to find a human to even speak to someone who will make any attempts to answer any questions. It is painful. I have left VMs for at least 5 people in the past week about a separate issue and never got a call back from anyone. The car I was sold, a '17 Hyundai Sante Fe, has had issues since purchase. To be fair, I have seen both listed as common issues and recalls for this vehicle upon doing my own research. The paint is chipping and peeling terribly from the hood and now the side panels, and the ABS light stays on on the dash; also all of the buttons on the steering wheel have all slowly gone out and now no longer operate. Again, this is a review of my vehicle moreso than the dealership as I have no way of knowing if they are or were aware of these issues, but I have NOT received any communication from the dealer regarding the recalls, either; I've had to receive mail from third parties and research the issues and recalls myself. When I say I wouldnt recommend this dealership it is not because they are worse than other dealerships- I've dealt with much more shady and dishonest, pushy and intolerable dealerships. I wouldn't recommend any dealership. The expectation and standard rate is that you won't get what you're promised, you won't be able to reach anyone unless you say you're looking to PURCHASE and they don't have your card info yet, they're minimally honest at best. However Autonation isn't necessarily worse than others. Buy used or private party if you are able to, or accept that no dealership is going to be responsive or honest. They did price-match my trade in with a CarMax offer. More
