After confirming suitable vehicles were available, he arranged for us to meet salesman Eddy McDonald for a test drive. We were quickly greeted when we arrived at the dealership for our appointment and our saleman Eddy McDonald was ready to go. We spent a few minutes chatting about how similar our names were and getting to know each other, but then we got down to business. Eddy was very professional and extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in (Ford C-Max with 302 option package). He was also willing to spend as much time as needed to insure we had all the information we needed for purchase decision. We loved the car we took for a test drive and decided to buy it. A couple hours later we owned the car. Eddy rode with us to a local gas station and showed us how to fill the tank using the new capless filler (he paid for the gas). When we got back to the dealership he spent about an hour with us showing us how all the systems / controls in the car worked. He also linked our phone to the car for us. His patience and tutoring made learning how to operate what could be a pretty technologically intimidating car relatively easy. I had done a lot of research on the value of our trade-in and what a fair price for the C-Max would be. With a minimum of haggling, we settled on a price that was right in the middle of my "fair" range. Given other car buying experiences over the years, I was amazed at how painless it was to get what I considered a great price at Autonation Margate. When the car was delivered it was spotless and everything was in top shape and full working order. No followups were required with the dealership to fix anything after the sale. This is the first new car I have purchased that didn't have at least some small thing that needed attention after the sale. More
I drove two Explorers in the mid 90s and loved them for their ability to get me where I wanted to go in the rain or in the snow in Southwest Pennsylvania. When my 98 fell apart because wear and tear, I leased a Nissan Rogue, but I always loved my Explorers. When my lease was almost over, I started looking at the newly redesigned Explorers. I was in love, so my husband and I went to Autonation Ford in Margate to look, and we met Lee Shaw, the salesman with the infectious smile. I discussed my love for the Explorer, and he showed me a new one, how it worked, and I demo drove it. I was more in love, but not quite ready to perpetuate a deal, until a silver 2013 Explorer had just arrived. Needless to say, because Lee did not pressure me, I returned to the showroom the next day, so that Mr. Shaw could show me even more toys that were on the silver Explorer. We made the deal where Lee helped to close out my lease on the Rogue, and to begin with the sale in earnest. Tariq King was the financial officer who assisted with that end of the sale, and he was absolutely marvelous. Autonation Ford, Margate should be very happy that it has two such engaging, intelligent, personable employees. I have had my new Explorer for a week now, and I feel like a Princess every time I get into the cabin to drive it. Amazing. Thank you Lee Shaw, Tariq King, and Autonation Ford, Margate!!!!! More

This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had.First off, my boyfriend and I went into the dealership and was greeted by NO ONE!! It was about 10-15 minutes that passed, before we even got any had.First off, my boyfriend and I went into the dealership and was greeted by NO ONE!! It was about 10-15 minutes that passed, before we even got any assistance or acknowledgement. The salesman we ended up with was nice enough, took us to see a few cars in our price range and we did end up purchasing a car from this dealership. The car was decent enough but it took about 3-4 hours to finalize everything and I was paying cash so no financing was involved AT ALL. Now beyond that, the car had an issue with the engine so although I bought it, I had to leave it there for service to repair the problem. When the car was picked up, the back windows did not roll down (although they rolled down when I initially looked at the vehicle). My boyfriend was told by the service department that the motors were bad and was given a $400 quote to fix it. After a couple days, a trip to the junk yard and another repair shop, come to find out...my motors were fne, one was unplugged and one was dirty. The fix costs me NOTHING!! So the service department told a blatant lie about the issue and was trying to swindle us out of $400!!! This issue led to several weeks of phone calls and visits, yet no resolve. I wanted to cancel my 3 yr service contract as I do not trust their service department and will not bring my vehicle there for ANYTHING! And during one visit one of the managers promised to reimburse me for the wasted money spent at the junk yard purchasing motors. The managers promised time after time to contact me back regarding the resolution of the issue but I never received any call from any of the 3 or 4 I spoke to. I had to constantly call and leave mesages and email the salesman for about 2 weeks! I finally spoke to someone in customer relations, who gave me contact info to someone in finance and I was told that I had to sign a form to cancel the plan I purchased. A SIMPLE FORM!! This form could have been signed upon my first visit after this whole lie was found out! When I went to sign the form, it took over an hour just for that to get done (the form itself took 5 minutes, the remainder of that time was wasted waiting on someone to be "available"). Even as I sit here and type this, I still have not received my refund for my cancelled policy or for wasted purchase of motors at the junk yard and no one has even called to follow up to see if the issue was fully resolved. I will NEVER go back to this Autonation and would not reccommend it to anyone at all. More
