Warranty is a joke. Bought gold package warranty to cover rear suspension. They denied my claim because the warranty said covers rear suspension equivalent to front susp Bought gold package warranty to cover rear suspension. They said it was not equivalent because it did not use the same words and they cited parts not listed B.S. The fact of the matter is equivalent should be based off of the function of the parts. They obviously are selling a warranty with the intention of looking for a way to not provide coverage. Talked to a few representatives and one of them even admitted that the part I needed for my rear suspension was equivalent to a part listed on the warranty under front suspension. When I said you just admitted it now please approve my claim he responded “is there anything else I can help you wit” and tried to hang up on me. I had the warranty company on 3way with the service department and they heard the whole conversation. Autonation should be careful with the warranty they are selling because it feels in ethics like a bait and switch. I paid for the warranty expecting good customer service and delivery of an agreement. That is not what I received. If you buy a warranty from autonation which they will pressure or recommend you do, make sure you get in writing from them that equivalent means function of the parts not same name especially when front and rear suspension are completely different. Absolutely horrible over the phone customer service. New sales man thought he would get cute with me in disrespecting me right off the bat. Then he hung up on me. Called to speak to a Mgr. I will crawl on my knuckles before I EVER buy a new car for cash from Auto Nation in Katy. If that’s how one is treated on the phone, I can only imagine the disrespect in person. More
